Yesterday, we joined Nigerian Breweries PLC as the proud Anambra people in Enugu celebrated their Anambra Day/Iwaji Festival.

It was an amazing experience and a great boost having our brand, Aprokorepublic Media, as one of the official media partners for the event.

In a very special way, we want to appreciate our dear mummy, Iyom Joy Odogwu Egolum (Iyom Chionyenaeboyaeze na Nri), for her constant love, support, and tireless efforts in taking our brand to greater heights. Thank you so much for all you do for Aprokorepublic Media — we truly appreciate you. ❤️

One thing about the current NPU executives, led by Oba Romanus Okafor (Eziafakaego), is that they are genuinely committed to giving Nri community a better shape.

At every point in time, they seem to have one development project or another ongoing. They don’t joke with issues affecting residents of the community.

Countless times, whenever I notice a problem and bring it to the attention of the President General, he immediately directs that action be taken. That level of responsiveness deserves recognition.

I think one of these days, I’ll take out time to go round the community and document all the projects and interventions this administration has executed in just a little over two years in office. I believe many people don’t even know the extent of the work that has been done.

What’s even more remarkable is that this administration doesn’t always wait for community funds. There have been occasions when the PG personally spent from his own pocket just to ensure urgent issues were addressed.

Thank you, Eziafakaego, and the entire NPU executive team, for your selfless service to Nri community. Your efforts are seen, appreciated, and will not be forgotten.

Senator Uche Ekwunife’s Stirring Address at TTB Secretariat Launch Sparks Conversations Nationwide

Abuja, Nigeria

Distinguished Senator Uche Lilian Ekwunife, CON, has reaffirmed her commitment to national development, youth empowerment, and inclusive leadership as she joined top political leaders, stakeholders, party faithful, women, and youth groups at the commissioning of the Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB) National Secretariat in Asokoro, Abuja.

The event brought together prominent figures within the political space to celebrate the establishment of the TTB National Secretariat, a platform aimed at promoting grassroots mobilization, leadership development, and citizen engagement in support of Nigeria’s development agenda.

Speaking during the ceremony, Senator Ekwunife commended the APC National Woman Leader and Convener of the Tinubu Torch Bearers, Hon. Dr. Mary Alile Idele, PhD, for her dedication to women empowerment, youth inclusion, and the advancement of the Renewed Hope Agenda. She described the initiative as a significant step toward strengthening political participation and fostering greater engagement among Nigerians.

The former senator emphasized the need for unity, purposeful leadership, and active citizen participation in building a stronger and more prosperous nation. According to her, the commissioning of the secretariat represents more than the opening of a physical structure; it symbolizes a strategic platform for nurturing future leaders and driving national transformation.

Senator Ekwunife further urged Nigerians, particularly women and young people, to remain committed to the collective responsibility of nation-building by promoting peace, strengthening democratic institutions, and supporting initiatives that encourage sustainable development across the country.

She reiterated her resolve to continue championing policies and programmes that uplift communities, empower citizens, and create opportunities for growth and development.

As stakeholders gathered in solidarity and shared a common vision for progress, Senator Ekwunife’s message underscored the importance of hope, collaboration, and collective action in shaping a brighter future for Nigeria.

The commissioning of the Tinubu Torch Bearers National Secretariat marks another milestone in efforts to deepen grassroots engagement and strengthen support structures aimed at advancing national development and inclusive governance.

Federal High Court Dismisses Suit Challenging Eze Nri Succession, Upholds Nri Regency (See Details)

AprokoRepublic Media, Awka.

The Federal High Court sitting in Awka has dismissed a suit challenging both the succession process to the revered Eze Nri throne and the Regency arrangement currently in place in Nri Kingdom.

In Suit No. FHC/AWK/CS/15/2025, instituted by Chief Godwin Uzoegbo and others, the court dismissed the action filed against Chief Chukwudi Nwokoye, Prince Ikenna Onyesoh and other defendants, thereby bringing an end to the legal challenge surrounding the Eze Nri stool and the Regency of the kingdom.

The judgment effectively removes all legal obstacles that had been placed before the emergence and ascension process of the incoming Eze Nri. The ruling also affirmed that Prince Ikenna Onyesoh (Idebuteaku) remains the duly recognized Regent of Nri Kingdom, with his status and authority remaining intact and unaffected by the litigation.

According to the court’s decision, the Regent shall continue to exercise the powers and responsibilities of the Regency in accordance with the customs, traditions and applicable laws of Nri Kingdom pending the lawful emergence, selection and coronation of a substantive Eze Nri.

The case, which was reportedly initiated by Chief Godwin Uzoegbo on behalf of Akamkpisi interests against the Agukwu Nri section of the community, sought to challenge aspects of the traditional succession and Regency arrangements. However, the court found no basis to sustain the action and consequently dismissed it.

The ruling has been widely interpreted as a significant development in the resolution of the dispute surrounding the Eze Nri institution. It also reinforces the continuity and legitimacy of the Regency structure while preserving the traditional processes governing the selection and installation of the Eze Nri.

Community stakeholders and residents have welcomed the judgment, expressing hope that the decision will promote unity, peace and progress within the ancient Kingdom of Nri.

With the legal challenge now dismissed, attention is expected to shift toward the customary and traditional processes leading to the emergence and eventual coronation of Chief Chukwudi Nwokoye as the incoming Eze Nri in accordance with established Nri customs and traditions.
