Today mark another step in your TVET training journey, your Biometrics attendance is ready now and all the trainees *MUST* be present for training tomorrow. *NOTE* your centre is given the mandate to unregister any trainee that is absent for training without tangible excuse and with my approval you will be whipe out of the program completely. This is not a threat it is an advise but your failure to comply will be threatening to you.

Your training starts by 11: 00 am and your attendance starts 30 minutes before the training time, this means everybody must be on ground by 10:00 am, by 10 : 30 am attendance will be on.

Your closing time is 4:00 pm, and by 3 : 30 pm your attendance will be open for sign out.
*NOTE* you must sign in and out everyday.

*TVET UPDATE: 22/5/2026*

1. 52 centres that didn’t receive 30% due to non procurement of Biometrics machine will be paid soon. The payment is been processed.

2. ⁠The 27 centres that did not receive the initial 40% will get their payment on or before close of Business on Tuesday, 26/5/2026.

3. ⁠The Q&A for last week was displayed. It will also be circulated through the PMOs.

4. ⁠The link for Google Form Q&A was shared for centres to submit their issues ahead of the weekly Q&A session.

5. Centres with issues of “State Quota filled” should encourage their students to keep checking the portal.

6. TVET doesn’t match trainees. They are allowed to select centers themselves.

7. Payment to students is been processed. Payment is delayed due to efforts by ministry to harmonise the Biometric attendance activities of centres.

8. A kick off date for Cohort 2 will be communicated later.

9. All issues of centre capacity should be channeled to NBTE.

10. FME is working on developing a training manual that will outline the Guided Learning Hours.

11. Once prospective trainees do not perform their Biometrics enrollment, they will be taken off the system. Centres that can self recruit, should quickly onboard recruit others. Non self recruit centres should encourage others to apply.

12. Applications are still ongoing.

13. Centres are not allowed to make 2 requests either for *additional trades* or *increase of centre capacity* the same time. One request will be completed before the next can be accommodated.
