CELEBRATION OF BIGHEARTEDNESS WITHOUT BITTERNESS

Without any doubt, Omooba Dotun Babayemi, the senatorial candidate of Action Democratic Party (ADP), in the 2019 General elections, has set an unprecedented record, in Nigeria. It takes a heart of kindness and act of fortitude, to wake up every day, look deeply into the kind of job he has and combine it with humanitarian services.

Since his return to Nigeria, having lived abroad for almost two decades, Omooba has dedicated his time on how to improve the living conditions of his people back home in Gbongan and Osun state as a whole.

He started an 'Alaafia Dotun Foundation Programme', which engulf with; Health Program, Educational Scholarship Foundation, Football Competition, Provision of Foods, Clothing for the needy and many more.

He ventured into politics almost a decade ago with the intention of using an elective office to help the less privileged on a larger scale. ODB at a time was a card carrying member of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and its predecessor organizations for more than a decade and contributed his quota to the development of the party both at the local and ‎national level.

He jilted the broom and defected into the Action Democratic Party (ADP), in the middle of 2018.

In June, this year, Omooba Babayemi left for Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) and has been a card-carrying member of the party till date. He keeps working tirelessly to enlarge the coast of the party in Osun and all over Nigeria for its candidates to be victorious in future elections in the country. Omooba is a peace-loving philanthropist, God-fearing politician of principle and equity cm security expert and corporate strategist.
And my gut instinct tells me; ODB's yesterday dream will come true, one of these days, despite all the hiccups.

At this point in the process, it is apparent that ODB is his own man and sincerely has humanity best interest at heart and would not do anything that would jeopardize the legacy; the only inheritance from his father, Late Oba Dr. Solomon Oyewole Babayemi, past Olufi of Gbonganland.

One of the best American President, John F. Kennedy, is often remembered for this quotes, "ask not what your country can do for you, and ask what you can do for your country". I believe ODB is doing his best for humanity that I respect the works he is doing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HON. (PRINCE) ADELANI O. AJANAKU

Hon. (Prince) Adelani Oyediran Ajanaku was born about 58 years ago to the family of late Prince Tiamiyu Oyediran Ajanaku of Olujide’s Compound, Owoope Gbongan.

EDUCATION PROCESS: B.Sc (1990), and M.Sc (1998) in Economics, MBA (2010) in Finance and Senior Management Programme(SMP) from Lagos Business School (LBS) in 2000.

He Attended E.D.C Primary School Owoope Gbongan between 1969–1973, before transferring to I.C.C Primary School Mokola, Ibadan in 1973.
Hon. Adelani attended Inisa Grammar School Inisa, between 1976-1981where he distinguished himself in Literary & Debating activities. Between 1981 and 1982. He gained admission to the Polytechnic Ibadan in 1985 for his Advanced Level Programme in Government/Economics/History
Hon. Adelani undertook his NYSC programme with the Nigeria Industrial Development Bank (NIDB), now Bank of Industry (BOI) in 1991-1992.

CAMPUS POLITICS: Whilst at O.A.U Ife, he joined the student politics and became a member of the school’s parliament between 1987-1988. He also served as the Secretary of Nigeria Economics Student Association (NESA, O.A.U) between 1987-1988. He became National President of Nigeria Economics Student Association (NESA) for all Nigeria Universities between 1989 and 1990. He was also the President of Gbongan Student Association (O.A.U) chapter between 1988-1989.

POLITICAL CAREER: he contested for the position of House of Representatives under the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in 2002. It will be recalled that he won the PDP primary election but was denied the slot by the party.
Hon. Adelani served meritoriously as the Special Adviser on Economics Development to the former Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola between (2003-2007).

OCCUPATION: Hon. Adelani taught at various primary schools in Apomu, Odeomu and Gbongan, before joining the service of National Population Census in 1984-1985.
Canon Mortgage Finance Bank in Lagos between 1992-1994.
Credit Officer with Arbitrage Finance & Investment in Lagos in 1994/1995
Indemnity Finance Limited (owned by 16 insurance companies) in 1993 and worked with the company as a Senior Manager until year 2002.
KJL Integrated Investment Limited as the Managing Director/CEO between 2007 and 2012.
Chairman/CEO of Riverside Beverages & Food Limited as well as Bluegrass Properties Limited from 2013 till Date.

SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY: It is on record that his love for his hometown Gbongan motivated his desire to establish a multi-million naira water factory in the town in 2014.

ORGANIZATION: Association of Gbongan Progressive Element (AGPE) as well as a staunch member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State.

HOBBY: reading, socializing travelling and politics. He is well travelled and has visited every continents of the world including Asia, Europe, Africa, America etc.

Hon. Adelani is happily married with children.

And bagged secondary education certificate at Olufi High School Gbongan in 2001. In pursuit for the best in academic, he then proceeded to the Federal Polytechnic Offa for the
higher education where he obtained both ND and HND in Mass Communication.

He also did his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp at Borno state and primary assignment at Oyo state Ministry of Information, Ibadan North local government. During service year, he was the ministry coordinator of the corps members in the state.

His accumulated wealth experience and intellectual fecundity did not only expose him to face the test of time, but also an added addendum to provide him with the unique opportunity of joining the profession of Printing Press
