Youth, Career, and Innovation Dominate MCAN 2025 Northeast Convention
The second day of the 2025 MCAN Northeast Convention was marked by impactful discussions on youth development, career growth, and innovation. Aligning with the event's theme, scholars and experts urged young participants to harness their energy, time, and resources for personal growth.
The Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar (III), represented by the Sarkin Gabas Gombe, encouraged youths to embrace challenges and view failures as stepping stones to success, emphasizing that trials are essential to achieving greatness.
Mal. Abubakar Sadiq Yusuf representing Dr. Mustapha Shehu Muhammad, highlighted research opportunities for young graduates and early career professionals, urging them to seek specialized knowledge and tap into available opportunities.
Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, represented by the former CMD FTH Gombe, stressed the importance of authentic knowledge, advising youths to pursue genuine learning and emulate *ingenuity* .
Dr. Farida Muhammad Aboki encouraged women to venture into entrepreneurship, citing Khadijah, the Prophet Muhammad's (SAW) wife, as a role model. She urged ladies to seek knowledge, build wealth, and uphold their dignity as Muslim women, wives, and mothers.
The event featured notable attendees, including Prof. Fatima Umar Mai gari, NYSC State Coordinator, and representatives from Jibwis Bolari state headquarters. Activities included Quran recitation, poem presentation, certificate distribution, and the inauguration of the Northeast MCAN Zonal Executive Council members.
MCAN National Ameer Abdulmalik Mahmud welcomed guests, appreciating contributors to the event's success. He highlighted MCAN's activities, such as hospital visits, IDP camps visits, orphanage visits, da'wah, community service, and graveyard visits; and appealed for philanthropists to support their mobility needs.
The convention, held at Gombe State University's New Multipurpose Hall, drew a large audience from across the six Northeastern states, including corps members, students, lecturers, and distinguished personalities.
