A Message of Solidarity and Sympathy to the ECWA Family, Ashaka Road, Gombe State, Nigeria.

​The Management and Team of the Halimafactor Community Initiative write to express our deepest commiseration with the leadership and congregation of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), off Ashaka Road, Gombe, over the unfortunate fire incident that ravaged the church building and destroyed properties worth millions of naira.
​As an organization dedicated to the peace, unity, and progress of our community, we recognize that an impact on one part of our community is felt by all. This shared bond is deeply personal to us, given our shared history and the privilege our team members have had to engage and minister within your sanctuary on several occasions.
​At this moment of pain, loss, and the looming task of rebuilding, we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the church leadership, the entire congregation, and the broader ECWA family in Gombe State.
​Our sincere prayer is that the Almighty God will comfort His people, grant you fortitude, and provide the abundant resources needed for a swift and complete restoration. May what was lost be replaced in far greater measure, and may this season of trial ultimately become a powerful testimony of resilience, faith, and God’s unfailing love.

​What happens when you bring curious young minds together with a brilliant mentor, a room full of books, and space to dream? Magic happens.
​Recently, the founder of the Halimafactor Community Initiative, Dr. Halima M. Usman, hosted a special "Read with Halima M. Usman" mini-event—and it was so much more than just a reading circle.

​✨ Beyond the Pages of a Book
​Books are gateways to new worlds, but true learning happens when we step through those gates together. During this intimate, interactive session, the children didn’t just flip through novels; they brought the stories to life.

​With eyes wide and minds sharp, they dived deep into:
​Interactive Storytelling: Exploring characters, settings, and hidden lessons.

​Fearless Questions: A safe space where no question was too big or too small, sparkled by pure curiosity.

​Lessons in Humanity: Moving past the text to discuss kindness, empathy, and what it truly means to navigate life with a good heart.
​"To build a better future, we must first nurture the minds that will inhabit it. Teaching children to read is essential, but teaching them to love humanity through what they read is transformative."

​At Halimafactor Community Initiative, we believe that literacy is the foundation of community development. Watching these young ones engage, debate, laugh, and learn reminded us why we do what we do. ​Today, Halimafactor Community Initiative and GONET (Gombe Network of NGOs), represented by our visionary founder, Halima M. Usman, partnered with MTN Nigeria and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for an impactful anti-drug and substance abuse awareness road walk in Gombe State.

​"Securing the future of our youth requires continuous, deliberate grassroots advocacy. We cannot afford to fold our arms."
​By coming together, civil society and corporate/government bodies are sending a clear, unified message: Gombe State stands firm against drug abuse. 🛑

Our Founder, Halima M. Usman, stepped out in full force on behalf of the Halimafactor Community Initiative and the Gombe Network of NGOs (GONET), joining hands with MTN Nigeria and the NDLEA for a massive Anti-Drug and Substance Abuse Road Walk. 🏃‍♀️👟
