Gwana Zainab Tanimu Zailani is a respected Islamic scholar and renowned Qur'anic reciter from Kaduna, Nigeria. She is celebrated for her powerful recitations and is a familiar presence at Islamic events and Qur'anic competitions across the country.

She was the first married woman in Nigeria to participate in a Qur'anic competition, starting her journey in 1989. This made her a role model for other women in the country who wished to pursue Qur'anic studies.

She is involved with various Islamic Organizations, such as the Majlis Ahlil Qur'an Initiatives of Nigeria, and serves as the Chairperson of the Association of Female Past Winners of Kaduna State-Nigeria.
