TWO WEEK TRAINING FOR ZAROTA PERSONNEL OPENS IN GUSAU
The Zamfara State Ministry of Works in collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Zamfara State Command, has organized a Two Week Capacity Building Training for personnel of Zamfara Road Traffic Agency ZAROTA to enhance their operational efficiency in traffic enforcement in Zamfara State.
In a welcome address, during the opening ceremony of the training, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Zamfara State Command, Aliyu Ma'aji, urged ZAROTA personnel to be attentive to all lectures and instructions. He charged them to be of good character, disciplined, and ensure excellent public relations with road users.
In a remark, Commandant of ZAROTA, Commandant Muhammad Bello Musa, Ataka Gusau, commended Zamfara State Government for organizing the training for his men noting that the training would enhance their competence. He urged the ZAROTA personnel selected for the training to be trustworthy, and diligent in the discharge of their duties.
Also speaking, the Chairman of ZAROTA Governing Board, represented by director Sanusi Maharazu Badarawa, urged ZAROTA personnel to be law-abiding, adding that the training would further sanitize and professionalize the trainees for better service delivery.
In a goodwill message, the representative of Emir of Gusau, sarkin Katsina of Gusau, Alh. Abdulkadir Ibrahim, advised the trainees to be good ambassadors of the Agency.
In their separate remarks, representatives of other security agencies including the Police, DSS, and Civil Defense conveyed messages of goodwill from their agencies and called on ZAROTA personnel to exhibit the fear of God in their duties and foster better collaboration between ZAROTA and other sister agencies.
Declaring the training opened, Commissioner for Works, and infrastructure, Zamfara State, Alh. Lawal Barau Bungudu, represented by the Director of Civil Engineering, Engr. Amirul Musa, expressed satisfaction with the structure of the training.
The Commissioner called on security agencies - the Police, DSS, Civil Defense, FRSC, and others - to support ZAROTA in any way possible to enable it operate effectively.
He reaffirmed his commitment to providing ZAROTA with all the necessary support as long as due process is followed. He called on security agencies in the state to always support and cooperation with ZAROTA personnel whom he urged to be obedient and loyal to their leadership.
A statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of ZAROTA, Mallam Saleh Kwaren Shinkai indicates that the occasion was attended by the ZAROTA Secretary Aminu Tukur, Director of Operation Usman Muhammad Moriki, Director Training and Recruitment Ladan Sani, Director Finance Umar Garba Gusau and host of others.
