EID-EL-FITR: GOV. LAWAL CALLS FOR SUSTAINED PRAYERS FOR PEACE AND UNITY
The Zamfara State Government has called on Muslim faithful to sustain and intensify prayers for lasting peace, unity, and development in the state and the country at large.
This call was conveyed in a goodwill message by His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, to mark the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan and the celebration of this year's Eid-el-Fitr.
Governor Lawal congratulated Muslims in Zamfara State and across Nigeria for completing the 30 day fasting period, describing Eid el Fitr as a significant occasion that symbolizes gratitude, sacrifice, unity, and spiritual renewal.
The Governor noted that the holy month of Ramadan, characterized by fasting, prayer, and reflection, serves as a period for strengthening faith, promoting self discipline, and fostering compassion for one another.
He emphasized that the values learned during Ramadan patience, empathy, and devotion should be sustained beyond the fasting period for the collective progress of society.
Governor Lawal further urged citizens to embrace unity and peaceful coexistence, stressing that building a better Zamfara and Nigeria requires collective responsibility and commitment to the common good.
He also offered prayers for a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration, expressing hope that the season would bring continued blessings of good health, prosperity, and economic growth to the people.
The Zamfara State Government wishes all Muslim faithful a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
