Speaking with the press, she explained that she initially believed her vehicle had been recovered by the police, only to later discover it had been taken to another location and burnt.

«"I thought they left the car there and that the police would have taken it to their office. But someone showed me where the car was burnt. That wasn't even the route we took. I believe they drove it to that point before setting it on fire."»

When asked whether the incident would affect her career as a teacher, Mrs. Alamu admitted that the experience has left a deep emotional impact.

«"By the grace of God, with time I may get over it. I've worked for 28 years and have about four years left before retirement. But travelling to such a remote rural area is already difficult and costly. Now, coupled with this experience, I don't know what the future holds."»
