1. Life is Full of Challenges
Question:
How have you seen God help you grow through challenges?
In 2003, after earning my first bachelor’s degree, I felt lost and unsure about my career path. I desperately wanted to pursue a nursing degree but struggled to find financial support. During this time of uncertainty, my mom turned to prayer, asking God for guidance. She sought help from an acquaintance who, in turn, connected me with someone willing to assist. Through this “destiny helper,” God provided a loan opportunity that changed my life. This experience reminded me that God is always present, even in moments of doubt.
In life, we all face challenges—whether at home, at school, or with friends. Sometimes, these struggles feel impossible to handle. But as Christians, we know God is with us through every difficult moment, guiding us and giving us strength. The Bible reminds us to, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything,” (James 1:2-4). Although life’s struggles can be disheartening, they can help us grow in faith and patience as we learn to lean on God.
