Dear Author,

Please know that the standard is 'quality trumps quantity'.

But, as I always say, it's okay if you decide to say in 10 pages what you can say in a single page.

I'll charge you for the extra reading I have to do for the editing and still help you cut out the extraneous text.

When you fill up your manuscript with unnecessary words, you're serving the good purpose of making your editor rich.

The first time we met Ms Aranla, we knew there was something about her, we just couldn't place our fingers on it.

She reached out to us after reading a book we edited for her friend.

The issue is she'd written a book but readers couldn't connect to the core of the message of her book. Her review page was filled with comments that are far from her expectation.
It was easy to tell that readers were deducing Z when all she was trying to drive at is A.

"Why can't they understand that I meant A?!" She lamented.

Take writing seriously. Don't delegate it to AI and go to sleep. Use AI for enhancement, but still write.

You lose a lot of opportunities if you don't know how to write.

Decision makers judge you most times by what you write - your email, letter, proposal, CV, chats, SMS, etc.

Learn how to write.

Many potential business partners, employers, etc will form opinions of you through your writing.

Your writing will walk through doors and sit at tables where you may never be physically present to sell yourself.

Communicating your thoughts clearly in writing isn't only for authors, it's a life skill everyone should learn.

You just may be way more skilled and experienced than your profile, CV, letters, etc reflect

Learn how to write.

Good writing helps to package you better and creates a sellable impression of you.

Sometimes our perspective is our problem.

The reason we sometimes feel overwhelmed, hopeless, guilty, dejected, etc is we're looking at our circumstances and drawing the wrong conclusions.

This is why the Bible says God's thoughts are higher than ours.

When we ponder how things are going for us, we see a dirty, ugly cocoon but God sees the butterfly.

We consider the painful, awful process. He sees the final product.

We stare at today. He sees forever.

We look at the external. He emphasizes the internal.

God makes everything beautiful for its own time—including our losses, our ill health experiences, a difficult marriage, our brokenness, our battles, our broken dreams, our lost relationships and heartaches, etc.

If only we could bring our thoughts about our lives into alignment with His, we'll find that He makes each and everything we go through beautiful for its time.

Without Him, it’s all purposeless and profitless. With Him, however, everything will ultimately make sense.

Relax, there's nothing wrong with the life you've placed in God's hand.

Books are arguably immortal.

They're one of the easiest ways to replicate yourself in people and that's because a part of authors stays with their readers.

Writing a book is an effective way of pouring yourself into people. Your books can reach places you may never reach and impact people you'll never know.

Even with fiction, titles usually suggest the genre your book is.

Let your title be a hook that draws prospective buyers and readers in.

Let potential readers see that title and know in one glance who the book is for and what it will do for them.
