Enugu Air is trending because Governor Peter Mbah has budgeted ₦41.1 billion to purchase four new aircrafts to transform Enugu’s transport sector in 2025.

Mbah stated that the ₦41.1bn will be used to develop an international cargo terminal, and the concessioning of the Akanu Ibiam International AirPort.

He said these while presenting the state’s 2025 budget of ₦971bn.

It triggered a variety of reactions.

Some believe it’s a waste of state resources, because there are other important things that could be done with the money. Like railway, intra-city transportation and water.

Mbah also received praised for budgeting ₦320bn for education. ₦213bn for infrastructure, ₦48.5 for health, ₦82.3bn for agriculture.
