The ECFIRS who doubles as the Chairman of the Joint Tax Board (JTB) Zacch A Adedeji PhD graced the commissioning of the Ekiti State Revenue House in Ado-Ekiti today as the Special Guest of Honour.

In his remarks, the ECFIRS appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that without his wisdom and leadership, the progress being celebrated today would not have been possible.

The ECFIRS also commended the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on the Ekiti Airport and the ongoing circular road projects that have improved connectivity. He added that there could be no better form of public relations for tax payment than what is being witnessed in Ekiti, a clear demonstration of how taxpayers’ money can translate into visible development.

He praised the Governor’s achievements in just three years, describing him as a model of innovation and fiscal discipline. According to him, “I am not a politician, but it is clear your people are pleased with you. With what I’ve seen here, the coming election should be the easiest ever.”

He concluded by thanking the Governor for making the President’s job easier through effective governance and the visible transformation across Ekiti State.

FARMER GOVERNOR UMARU BAGO VISITS FIRS BOSS IN ABUJA.

Niger State Governor, farmer Mohamed Umaru Bago, paid a courtesy visit to the executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service FIRS ( ) Dr. Zacch Adelabu Adedeji at his office in Abuja.

The farmer governor held discussions with the FIRS Boss, which focused on strengthening food security, boosting revenue generation, and advancing the renewed hope fund.

He acknowledged the good works the FIRS Chairman is doing and assured him that his administration will continue to work closely with the Revenue service to ensure that it fulfills its mandate.

The farmer governor was accompanied by the member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha federal constituency, Saidu Musa Abdullahi, who also doubles as the Vice Chairman, House Committee on Finance, and the Chairman, Niger Foods, Mr Sammy Adigun.

On Monday, August 25, 2025, the Taxpayer Service Department (TPSD) officially unveiled its “Wall of Knowledge” at the Federal Inland Revenue Service - FIRS Headquarters, Abuja.

As the name suggests, the Wall of Knowledge is a visual educational tool that showcases vital tax information across the entire corridors of the TPSD. It features key information from the Nigeria Tax Act, Tax Administration Act, Nigeria Revenue Service Establishment Act, Joint Revenue Board of Nigeria (establishment) Act and insights on key reforms such as E-invoicing for large taxpayers.

This initiative aligns with TPSD’s mandate to promote tax awareness, improve voluntary compliance and empower both staff and taxpayers with accessible, up-to-date information on Nigeria’s evolving tax system.
