Molete spans across two Local Government Areas: Ibadan Southwest and Ibadan Southeast. Molete acts as a boundary point between these two jurisdictions.

Many people are unaware that the road stretching through Idi-Ape, Basorun, Akobo, and Ojurin to Olorunda is officially known as “Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu Way”.

The road was renamed last year following the completion of the Ojurin–Olorunda section.
