Molete spans across two Local Government Areas: Ibadan Southwest and Ibadan Southeast. Molete acts as a boundary point between these two jurisdictions.

It serves as an important gateway linking the city center areas such as Challenge, Ring Road, Oluyole Estate, And Dugbe.

Many people are unaware that the road stretching through Idi-Ape, Basorun, Akobo, and Ojurin to Olorunda is officially known as “Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu Way”.

The road was renamed last year following the completion of the Ojurin–Olorunda section.
