You're on Instagram to sell, right?
Or maybe you're just looking for engagements?

Dear Social media vendor,
It's not enough to set up your Instagram, it's not enough to just post.🌚

Don't just come to your captions and write "Available in White and Black, Price- N1000" nahhhh, nobody likes that

Capture attention with your caption at first glance, then the attention should be retained, and finally, it should be able to convert the attention into sales. All 3 steps work together 😌

Ps: Always include a CTA (call to action) in your caption!
This is very necessary because there must be a direction you want your audience to go after consuming your content.

How many times should you post in a day?

I was in an online training one day and one person (a participant) was explaining how that she posts 20 times daily on her business Instagram page ah!!!!

If this is also you, I'm giving you an advice now, Stopeet!!!!! It's a bad marketing strategy!!

You want to know why?, check the carousel!

Please don't mind my sarcasm in the first slide 😂, posting 20 times a day isn't good for you!
People will just see, it and keep scrolling.

You even need to engage on your post, how do you want to keep up with engaging on 20 different posts (Well, you probably have plenty energy 😂😂

So, I said all that to day this
CONSISTENCY IS NOT FREQUENCY!

Consistency is not in the amount of posts you make, but in the value you offer. Kapish? Okay?

Can you relate with the WhatsApp vendors description tho?😂

Ps: I'm not saying you shouldn't advertise on WhatsApp, but there are techniques to this thing, we'll talk about it another day😂

Today has been really stressful 😪

I had a totally different post planned out, supposed to post by 12 but all I had to do just didn't let me😔😴

So, I've been hearing people talk about the stress of final Clearance but I guess, you can't really know until you experience it😂. "Experience is the best Teacher"😉

Omoooo, I Started my final clearance today, and I must say, those people who told you "Clearance is stressful" are not telling lies at all😂
The walk I walked today can be likened to the Israelites journey to the promise land (just that for me, I was going back and forth😂)

Really, I got so exhausted! I took two drinks (😂Please it's not healthy, don't do it o abeg, I just had to because it helps me regain energy and My friend Timi must not hear of this🤣)

As I'm typing this, I feel better sha, I've rested a bit, and I remembered I'm supposed to show up for my tribe 😉

Well, your product is a spec, no doubt! But if you don't put it out consistently it will just gather cobwebs🕸 and then your friend can forget what services you offer, just because you don't 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 them. ❗⁣

Just like somebody said, Consistency means your target audience is being exposed to 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬, 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, and other brand elements 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝𝐥𝐲, which can help to 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐲 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.⁣

When you are consistent with showing up, putting out what you do, It makes it easier for people to remember you and that way they can recommend you.⁣

So you have this dilemma of writing captions that convert?🤔
How about you learn simple tricks to get it sorted once and for all?

1. Start with something attractive 🧲
It could be a question, or an observation, or a joke. Just something to keep them reading.
You know, Instagram only shows the first few lines of the caption, so whatever you start with must make them want to click "see more"😌

2. Make use of stories.📖
Share something relatable, Something that would love to hear that relates with your message. Everybody likes gist, you can use a gist to explain your point, point is make them interested by being relatable.

3. Make use of Emojis☺
Everybody understands emojis, and most if not all social media users have this affinity to keep reading a piece that contains emojis. Using them help to enhance the understanding your point.

4. Add CTA's🎬
CTA simply means "Call To Action" it helps to let your audience know what exactly you want them to do. It's as simple as "Send a Dm, to find out more, "Click the Link in Bio" etc.

5. Stick to a consistent Brand Voice🗣
What personality and emotion does your brand stand for?. A consistent Brand Voice helps your audience have a feel of all that your brand is about.

So you've been advertising to the wrong people?⁣
You know that because, you keep posting and posting yet no one is buying🙃⁣

You know you need a target audience, but you don't know how exactly to go about it.⁣
⁣
Your Target Audience is not Everyone (Well, except you're google🤷🏽‍♀️)Lol😂⁣
Your target audience is 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 group of people who who are most likely to consume tour product or patronize your services.⁣
⁣
So,to finding your target audience you should start first with your 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬, yes! start with those already buying from you and then, run a survey with the following questions:⁣
⁣
-What are they most interested in?💌⁣
-What are their challenges?😣⁣
-What age range do they fall in?🔞⁣
-What's their income like?🤑⁣
-What social platform would you mostly find them?⁣
⁣
And in trying to build your brand around these, you should also consider:⁣
⁣
●What keywords connects your audience and what you're offering?🔗⁣
●Which of your competitors are they interested in?⁣
⁣

Have you ever found a post on explore, then you proceed to check the poster's profile then you start following from there, based on what you see?

We'll talk about Bio, profile picture highlight covers another day

But today, less focus on the Feed.

You see, you probably followed them because they're feed was Visually Appealing.
By Visually appealing, I mean "it looks and feels good to the eyes and other senses".

Tbvh, it doesn't take to have that, what it needs is just organization and Consistency.

Today, Let's focus on why you need it rather than how to achieve it(that'll come some other time, but you can send me a Dm about it if you want to know "now now")

Moving on, A Visually appealing feed back is necessary because it'll make your audience enjoy what you're giving out and make them want to stick around for more of what you have to offer them.

It also gives them a feeling of respect for your brand. It communicates to them that you actually know what you're doing.

Have you ever seen ants crowd a cube of sugar?🤔
You can never see only one ant, its always A WHOLE Community of them (it's called a colony.😂😂)

Most times, when you want to get rid of them what you do is to get rid of the sugar first if you can and you notice that once that is done, you see the ants wander off by themselves.

You know that thing that happens where, you keep sharing content yet, zero engagement and zero sales.... The answer is Value!

Yes, the whole of Instagram is talking about value and it seems like stable gist, boring gist, old story bla bla bla 😶 and you're tired of hearing it😏

But let me shock you, if you choose to do away with that boring gist, you're just doing yourself.🙃

You see those ants, they rush at the sugar because they find value in it, then wander off, when they can no longer find it there.

That's why its necessary to give value consistently!

Dear Business owner,
Your Business is not for you.
It is for those you are there to serve.

Whether you like it or not, you started your business to serve.
You want some people's money and time so in whatever you do, you must ensure that you're serving them.

Nobody wants to waste time and nobody wants to waste money so they will not pay for something they don't want or need

So you must ensure, that whatever you're selling, or whatever service you're offering is valuable to someone.

Listen to them, find out what gives them pleasure, and give them. Then they'll be happy to give you their money.

Also, find out what gives them pain, then look for ways to get the pain off. Then, they'll be happy to give you their money.

Ps: your target audience is one person so you must ensure that you have a picture of at least one person in mind who would be glad to hear abou your product/service when you put it out.

Pps: If you don't focus on this, you'll most likely be wasting your time and you'll be attracting the wrong people to your page(I.e those that won't patronize).

Don't forget to save this so you can come back to it, then Share because this a palliative that should be shared not hoarded.
