HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE QUEEN OF SMILES AND CONFIDANT, SHABA EXTOLS WIFE, ALHAJA OMODASOLA MOBOLORUNDURO SANUSI (SHABA) ON HER BIRTHDAY.
There are two kinds of people in the world: those who light up a room when they walk in, and those who light it up when they leave. Luckily for me, I married the first kind. Her name is *Omodasola Mobolorunduro Sanusi* , but to me and anyone who is ever seen her smile, she is simply "Mobolorunduro", the one who carries sunshine in her cheeks and warmth in her laughter.
Today’s her birthday, and I can’t think of a better excuse to embarrass her publicly on the internet while pretending to be romantic. (Hey, she knew what she signed up for when she said yes.) "I was a lost soul until the day I met you. Today, I am lucky to have you in my life because you have been a loving wife, a genuine friend, an honest guide and my support system. Thanks for everything dear.
*The Smile That Started It All*
They say a smile can change the world, but in my case, it changed my relationship status. I still remember the first time I saw her smile, that effortless, heart-melting, “I-just-stole-your-sanity” kind of smile. It wasn’t just a curve on her lips; it was a full-blown spiritual experience. Somewhere between that grin and her laugh, my common sense packed its bags and left.
Hon Shaba stressed further that It’s unfair, really. How do you argue with someone who smiles through every debate? She could accidentally burn the rice and flash that grin, and suddenly I’m the one apologizing for not watching the pot closely enough. Science may never explain it, but I’ve stopped trying — it’s one of those mysteries you just learn to live with.
Living with Omodasola is like living with a personal cheerleader who is permanently on “good vibes only” mode. Even on the days when life feels like a chaotic episode of a telenovela, she finds a reason to smile. Rain? She’ll say it’s perfect weather for cuddling. Power outage? “Romantic candlelight dinner time!” Burnt toast? “At least it’s crunchy”
That’s her magic, turning small messes into memorable moments. I used to think happiness came from big wins or dream vacations. But she taught me it’s hidden in simple things — shared jokes, late-night talks, and the quiet comfort of knowing someone’s laughter has already forgiven your imperfections.
*The Birthday Dilemma.*
Every year, her birthday sneaks up on me like a thief in the night. and every year, I face the same question: What do you get for someone who already has the world’s best smile?
*Things I will Never Stop Loving About Her*
Let’s start with that laugh — the one that erupts like a happy accident every time I say something ridiculous. Then there’s the way she manages to make even ordinary days feel like something worth celebrating. She’s got this quiet strength too, a kind of calm confidence that says, “I have got you,” even when the world feels like it’s spinning too fast.
But above all, I love how she makes me want to be a better version of myself, not through pressure or demands, but simply by being who she is. Her kindness is contagious, her joy is magnetic, and her love? Unapologetically loud, even in its quiet moments.
*A Toast to My Favorite Woman*
Hon SHABA has this to say about her wife that Alhaja Omodasola Sanusi, "is a woman who redefined what happiness looks like. She has proved that laughter is a love language, and that sometimes, all it takes to fix a bad day is a smile and a hug that smells faintly of coconut oil and peace.
I pray this year bring her more laughter than she can count, more joy than she can hold, and more reasons to smile (as if she need one). I hope she always know how deeply loved, admired, and thoroughly spoiled she is
Happy Birthday, Omodasola Mobolorunduro Sanusi, my sunshine, my favorite trouble, my confidant , and my daily dose of happiness.
