Nigeria faces a complex food crisis, characterized by high levels of food insecurity, malnutrition, and rising food
prices. Several factors contribute to this crisis, including rapid population growth, declining agricultural productivity,
and inadequate infrastructure for food distribution and storage. Climate change exacerbates these challenges,
leading to more frequent droughts and floods, further disrupting agricultural production.
The Nigerian government has implemented various programs to address the food crisis, including the **National
Food Security Strategy** and the **Agricultural Transformation Agenda**, aiming to increase agricultural production,
promote food processing, and improve access to food markets. These initiatives have yielded some positive results,
but challenges remain in ensuring sustainable and equitable access to food for all citizens. This brings about the necessity of urban farming training. Join Tony Egba on another insightful training this Saturday February 1, 2025. Time 9am to 11am on Whatsapp
