Fuel scarcity worsened in Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory and other parts of the country on Tuesday, resulting in motorists spending hours at filling stations. For oil marketers, the solution to the worsening fuel queues across the country is for the Federal Government to approve an increase in the pump price of the commodity.

Fuel Scarcity: Petrol Stations Refuse to Sell Fuel at Official Pump Price per litre

Some petrol stations have been reportedly refused to sell the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at the official pump price, N162-N165 regulated by government.

It should be recalled that the country just recovered from the importation of toxic fuel which caused a lot of damages to vehicles and machines, as some businesses were slightly shutdown, while some experienced lost and inconveniences.

It was however gathered that the situation has returned to normalcy, but some filling stations still sell between N180 & N200.

Our correspondent reported that some fillings stations along Iwo road-Olodo and Lalupon Axis still sell at the illegal price of N200, N180. Residents and commuters therefore called on the government and tax force to atttend to this issue.
