Public–Private Partnership Strengthens OYRTMA as Adeoye Ayoade Commissions New Facility in Oyo
.. Commends Olonade Eyitayo's professionalism as Egalitarian Voice reports

The Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA) has further demonstrated its commitment to staff welfare and institutional development with the commissioning of a modern toilet facility at the Oyo Area Command, even as the agency’s General Manager, Commander Adeoye Ayoade, applauded the command for its outstanding professionalism and dedication to duty.

The facility, donated by an Oyo-born engineer and philanthropist, Engr. Raji Adebayo, was commissioned during a brief ceremony attended by OYRTMA management, officers of the command, and key stakeholders.

Speaking at the event, Adeoye Ayoade described the donation as a timely intervention that aligns with the agency’s vision of providing a dignified, hygienic, and conducive working environment for its personnel. He recalled that the Oyo Area Zonal Command office was commissioned last year in furtherance of OYRTMA’s mandate, stressing that staff welfare remains central to effective service delivery and operational efficiency.

The OYRTMA General Manager also commended the Oyo Area Command, under the leadership of Zonal Commander Olonade Eyitayo Oluyinka, for its professionalism and commitment to the authority’s objectives, noting that discipline and dedication remain the hallmarks of the command’s operations.

He emphasized that the provision of essential facilities within public institutions is critical to boosting morale and productivity, urging other well-meaning individuals and corporate organisations to support government efforts through similar interventions.

Engr. Raji Adebayo, who was represented by members of his group, said the donation was driven by a desire to contribute meaningfully to public service and complement the state government’s infrastructure development agenda. He expressed appreciation to OYRTMA for its role in traffic management and road safety across Oyo State, assuring continued support for community-oriented initiatives.

In his goodwill message, Zonal Commander Olonade Eyitayo Oluyinka expressed gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde, the Executive Chairman of OYRTMA, Major Adekoya Adesagba (rtd.), and the General Manager, Adeoye Ayoade, for their consistent support for OYRTMA operations in the Oyo Zone.

He particularly applauded Engr. Raji Adebayo for the construction of the modern toilet facility, valued at over ₦4 million, describing it as a testament to the donor’s commitment to humanitarian service and the welfare of public servants. Olonade noted that the facility represents a long-awaited improvement that would significantly enhance the comfort and working conditions of officers in the command.

In separate remarks, the OYRTMA State Director of Administration and Dr. Francis Akinsowon, who represented the Provost of the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, also commended Engr. Raji for his selfless contribution and dedication to community development.

The commissioning of the facility highlights the growing role of public–private partnerships in strengthening institutions and promoting sustainable development in Oyo State.

In attendance were; the OYRTMA State Director of Administration and Dr. Francis Akinsowon, who represented the Provost of the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, Engr Raji Adebayo's team, Bond Chemical Industry Limited Awe, and other notable Marshals in Oyo township.

Dangote Formally Petitions ICPC Over Alleged Corruption by NMDPRA Chief Farouk Ahmed || Egalitarian Voice

Aliko Dangote, has escalated a high-profile feud in Nigeria's petroleum sector by submitting a formal petition to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). The petition accuses Ahmed Farouk, Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), of corruption, financial impropriety, and abuse of office.

Submitted on December 16 through Dangote's lawyer, Ogwu James Onoja (SAN), and received by ICPC Chairman Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu (SAN), the petition demands the immediate arrest, investigation, and prosecution of Farouk. Dangote alleges that the NMDPRA boss has been living far beyond his legitimate earnings as a public servant, specifically citing expenditures exceeding $7 million paid upfront for the six-year education of his four children at elite schools in Switzerland.

The petition reportedly names the children and their respective institutions, providing details to facilitate verification by the ICPC. Dangote claims Farouk's cumulative public sector earnings could not reasonably fund such lavish spending, accusing him of embezzling and diverting public funds through his position at the NMDPRA for personal gain. These actions, according to the petition, have contributed to public unrest, protests, and undermined trust in the downstream petroleum sector.

Dangote has vowed to appear in person to provide evidence supporting claims of corrupt enrichment, abuse of office, and impunity. He argues that swift ICPC action would uphold justice and safeguard the reputation of President Bola Tinubu's administration.

This development follows Dangote's public accusations during a December 14 press briefing at the Dangote Refinery in Lagos, where he initially alleged Farouk spent around $5–7 million on his children's secondary education abroad an amount he described as inconsistent with a public officer's salary. Similar allegations surfaced earlier in 2025, prompting protests and calls for probes by groups like SERAP and civil society organizations.

As of now, neither the ICPC nor NMDPRA has issued an official response to the petition. Farouk has previously denied related claims as baseless smear campaigns. The ongoing rift has also drawn parliamentary attention, with the House of Representatives summoning both parties to address broader regulatory tensions in the oil sector.

Osun 2026: Bamigbola Emerges as Factional Accord Party Governorship Candidate ||

The Authentic Accord Party has officially produced Clement Bamigbola as its governorship candidate for the 2026 Osun State election. Bamigbola emerged unopposed and was unanimously affirmed as the party’s flagbearer at the governorship primary held on Sunday in Osogbo, the state capital.

The primary election was closely monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), lending credibility to the process and confirming the party’s adherence to electoral guidelines. Party members described the exercise as peaceful, transparent, and a reflection of internal unity within the Authentic Accord Party.

It is important to note that Senator Ademola Adeleke had earlier been declared the main Accord Party governorship candidate, making Bamigbola’s emergence representative of a factional contest within the party.

With this development, Clement Bamigbola now carries the mandate of the party’s faction as preparations ramp up for the 2026 governorship contest. Party leaders and supporters expressed confidence in his ability to offer a credible alternative and advance the Accord Party’s vision for Osun State.
