CHELSEA SACK GRAHAM POTTER(FINALLY)
Finally, the Chelsea board took the big decision to fire the manager after a lot of bad result and negative performances...should it have came earlier?? Is this the right time to sack the manager at a crucial stage of the season giving there are only 10 games to play in the league and we are still in the quarter final of the champions league?
Now let's face reality, since graham potter took over at Chelsea it's been average results here and there...zero consistency and no real positives about how the team was playing or what exactly the manager was trying to implement...
We didn't even enjoy the manager bounce that comes with a new manager taking charge...from the on set with Potter it's been average performances week in week out..he Potter always gives excuses in his post match conference after another shambolic display from the team.
As a manger your job is to find the right solution to why the team is performing under par... While he was in charge,we played 31 times in all completions Won- 12 Drew-8 Loss-11 We also scored 33 goals and conceded a whooping 31 goals We lost to the likes of Aston villa, Southampton,Fulham And a lot of draws in games we should have won for instance the Everton game at home and the Nottingham forest game away.... That's unacceptable if you ask me
There is no real balance in the team,no dynamism,I said it in my post yesterday.... How will the manger not know his best 11? Shuffling players here and there hoping it will work week in week out is not the right way to build a team...the owner spent in excess of 600millon dollars on signing new players already...that's how to back a manger in every sense of it...I just think potter was not ready for such a big job....
Potter lacks proper game management I would say He has lost games from winning positions or from positions in which we were in total control of the game,we have drew games in which if potter had made the right substitutes we could have won easily..
I remember Tuchel at the start of this season saying he wasn't sure Chelsea were ready as a team for this season I guess he was right Was it the right decision to sack the manager??
