Fresh graduate earning ₦650k monthly as VA loses job after requesting salary increase

The tweet reads; "My friend in Canada hired a fresh graduate in Nigeria (awaiting NYSC) as her executive assistant (Virtual).

The job was simple: respond to emails and help schedule her day. She worked 2 hours daily and earned ₦650k monthly.

After 4 months, she realized my friend was a “big deal.” Maybe she got bad advice, but she sent a mail asking for a salary increase. We ended the contract immediately.

Now she’s asking if she can still keep working for the same pay. Are we wicked for saying no?🤔."

UBA chairman Tony Elumelu mourns staff members killed in Lagos fire

Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Holdings and UBA, has revealed that some United Bank for Africa employees lost their lives in the fire at Afriland Towers on Lagos Island.

He tweeted; "The past few hours have been tough. We and others lost colleagues in the fire at Afriland Towers. As a community, we are grieving for all and doing what we can to support their families and loved ones.

"Our Group paused today to reflect and remember all who passed. They are irreplaceable and will remain in our memories always. May their souls rest in perfect peace and may God comfort their loved ones and us all🙏🏽."

Diezani who is reportedly in the second stage of cancer implored Tinubu to permit her to return to Nigeria to confess to her financial misconduct during her tenure.

She said, “My husband and my entire family members including my Nigeria lawyer based in the United Kingdom knew my relationship with Dauda Lawal Dare, the current Zamfara State governor whom I entrusted over 9 billion dollars for safe keeping while he was the Executive Director of the First Bank Nigeria PLC.

“Unfortunately, it has now come to a point that Mr Dauda Lawal is no longer picking my phone calls and even worked in Collaboration with UK police to put me under Surveillance, may be to claim the money I entrusted to him when I die.”
