THE WISDOM OF HAVING ROOM FOR ERROR
Maybe the reason why your plan hasn't always gone according to book is because you're always disoriented when hit by unexpected events.
This shouldn't surprise you. You just didn't plan/expect such setback, roadblock, or accident.
But do you know you can reduce how much the unexpected things affect you in your goals? This is a strategy known as 'Margin of Safety' or otherwise 'Room for Error.'
This simply mean you have to include the possibility that your plans wouldn't go exactly according to plan when you're writing them.
That is the most important part of any successful planning. Something coaches know and aren't telling you.
Because, the most important plan of every plan is planning on your plan not going the way you expect.
This helps to prepare you mentally. So that (if) when it actually happens you'd be less affected/surprised bet you were prepared!
Forget about positive or negative confessions. Planning for errors doesn't imply that you're faithless. If anything, it implies that you're wise enough to know that nothing in life is predictable.
βThe wisdom in having room for error is acknowledging that uncertainties, randomness, and chance - βunknownβ are ever present part of life.β
Watch out for my big announcement on this space.
