“Thinking About You” is the most personal song I’ve released in a long time.
This is more than music to me. It is a message to the people who have believed in me, listened to me, prayed for me, supported me, trusted me, and done life with me, whether we speak every day or have not spoken in years.
Life has moved quickly. Over the last decade, I got married to the love of my life, moved cities in Nigeria, moved to the UK, had amazing kids, built businesses, crashed some…lol, made good choices as well as bad ones, launched ‘Symphoniez by D. Krieton’, lost my mother -in-law etc. There have been many changes, many responsibilities, and many moments when life simply demanded that I keep moving.
But sometimes, in moving forward, we can become distant from people who still matter deeply to us. That does not always mean we do not care. Sometimes life is just full, and time passes before we realise how much we miss one another.
After losing my mother-in-law in 2023, I reflected deeply on the relationships in my life: the people who had been there, the people I had not heard from, and the people whose love remained real even through distance and silence. I was reminded that the people who truly care for you often care in spite of the gaps, the changes, and the seasons.
So this song is my way of reaching out.
If you are reading this: I am thinking about you. I hope you are well. I hope you are keeping strong. And whatever life is asking of you right now - whether you are celebrating, grieving, building, healing, starting again, or simply trying to make it through - I want you to know that you matter to me.
I’m praying that it will be well with you; that you will prosper in all you do; and that success, peace, and grace will find a home with you.
“Thinking About You” is for my friends, my family, and everyone who has shared a meaningful part of my journey with me.
Please listen, share it, and tag someone you love, someone you have been meaning to check on. Let them know: I’m thinking about you.
