Two women were coming back from night vigil, along a lonely road, they were attacked by kidnappers. One was kidnapped, and one managed to escape.
Sadly, the one that was kidnapped was later found with her head and private parts cut off by ritu@lists.
These two women loved God equally, they were both committed to the things of God and the Church. They paid their tithe religiously, were never late to any Church activity, loved their neighbors as they loved themselves, and were both perfect examples of what and whom a true believer should be.
They both had children at home and their husbands were both late and their children were still very young and dependent on their mothers.
Today, the woman who survived, even though traumatized by the unfortunate fate of the second woman, is in Church giving testimony and praising God for saving her life and everyone’s voices are loudly heard giving plaudits to the ALMIGHTY God who is more than capable of doing all things.
Now, my question is: why did God save one and let the other woman suffer such an unfortunate fate?
Is it that God is incapable of saving the two women or that He’s a partial God? Is it truly God who saved the survivor?
If you think about it, it’s like saying “God was there oh but he could not save both of us, or that he chose to save only me and let the ritu@lists have the other person.” Either way, such actions do not speak well of an almighty loving impartial God.
If I were God, I would feel ashamed if I’m being praised for being too incapable of saving two of my children from ordinary ritu@lists.
Thinking critically and deeply about this, the safest thing to say or believe is that God has no hands in whatever happens here with us. We create and destroy, we govern ourselves and face the consequences of the misdeeds of our societies. God does not interfere and any attempt to rope him into the affairs of men whether good or bad will make Him appear weak and partial.
But I leave these thoughts to you and please, ask your pastor or priest these questions before leaving Church today. I would like to know if the God of our religions is incapable or partial.
