Dear Adulthood, We Need to Talk
Dear Adulthood,
Why is everything so expensive but my salary is shy?
Why do I have back pain at 23 and still act surprised?
Why does "rest" now mean laundry, cooking, and answering calls?
Nobody told me I’d be budgeting like a CEO and eating like a student.
Nobody told me "treat yourself" would mean 1k data and pure water.
But also thank you.
Thank you for teaching me responsibility.
Thank you for showing me who’s real and who’s just there for the vibes.
Thank you for the growth that came with stress, noodles, and prayers.
We may not have it all figured out,
But we’re figuring it out.
