You will stop blaming your boss the day you become one.

I used to wonder:
“Why isn’t my boss increasing my salary?”
“I work hard, don’t I deserve more?”
“Why is my marketing campaign being rejected?”
“Why can’t we just give this client a discount and close the deal?”

Then I became a boss.
In charge of a department.
Responsible for profit & loss.
Answerable for the human factor, the most delicate part of the business.

One day, I wanted to reward a team member with a well-deserved salary increase. They were consistent, loyal, and exceeded expectations. But the minute I thought about it, reality hit me:

If I increase it for one person, others will find out.
If I don’t increase theirs too, it causes resentment.
If I increase salaries for everyone, the P&L suffers.
Too much imbalance, and the system collapses.

That’s when it clicked, it’s not always about what you want to do as a boss. It’s about what you can sustain for the business.

So the next time you say:
“My boss doesn’t care.”
“He rejected my idea again.”
“He didn’t approve my raise.”

Wait until you are responsible for people, processes, and profit.
Wait until you’re the one in the hot seat.
Then you’ll understand that not every “no” is personal.
Some rejections are necessary for survival.

Leadership taught me to stop judging too fast.
It taught me balance.
It taught me humility.

✈️ India’s Most Tragic Plane Crash—and the Woman Who Survived by Running 10 Minutes Late

On Thursday, June 12, Air India Flight 171 was scheduled to depart from Ahmedabad to London. There were 242 people on board.

Just 30 seconds after takeoff, the plane crashed into a residential neighborhood. Almost everyone on board lost their lives.

👩‍🦰 Bhumi Chauhan, a 28-year-old student from the UK, was supposed to be on that flight—seat 36G. But she missed boarding… by just 10 minutes.

Why? Traffic jams in the city.

“I was frustrated. Angry. I cried and begged the airline staff to let me on, but they refused,” she recalls.

Heartbroken, she sat down in a nearby café—ordered tea, called her travel agent to complain. And then she got the news:
The very plane she missed had crashed.

😳 Bhumi survived… because of a traffic jam.

Today she says:

“It’s a miracle. I just wasn’t meant to be on that plane.”

And this story reminds me of something important:

Sometimes…
– When you’re late…
– When your plans fall apart…
– When you’re so close to your goal but are stopped at the last moment…

It’s not a punishment.
It’s protection.
Invisible, but precise—like clockwork.

📌 Save this post.
The next time things don’t go your way, and you’re upset or angry, remember: maybe you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Maybe, just maybe, things are working out for the best—even if it doesn’t look that way right now.

No Free Lunch in This World.

Read That Again!

I've seen this happen too many times, especially among young professionals:
You meet someone in a high position, maybe in government, maybe in the private sector, and immediately, you start thinking:
"How can I get a contract from this person?"

Let me tell you the hard truth:
There is NO free lunch in this world.
Nobody will just hand you a contract, project, or opportunity out of pity or connection.
Not anymore.
You want to be an entrepreneur? Then first, be good at something.
Master a skill.
Build a service.
Create real value.

Because here's what happens if you're not ready:
You get handed a contract you can't deliver...
-You mess it up.
-You lose credibility.
-And that "connection" closes their door forever.

Here's what works:
Become excellent at your work.
Build a name people can trust.
Then go build relationships, not to beg, but to offer value.
Don't chase people hoping they'll "give" you something.
Instead, create something they'll be happy to pay you for.

Nobody is sitting around waiting to give handouts.
They're looking for people who can solve problems, deliver results, and protect their reputation.

So next time you meet someone influential, ask yourself:
-Do I have something strong enough to offer them?
If not, don't chase favors. Chase skills.

Let me know your comments, and if you agree with me,share this to teach young people who are chasing connections but haven't yet built their competence.

A funny but powerful lesson from a 3-year-old and Toyota.

If you've ever met a child, you already know this life-changing business strategy.
You tell them:
"Go wear your shoes."
They ask:“Why?”
You answer.
Then they ask again:"Why?"
Then again... and again... until you consider early retirement 😅
But guess what?
Toyota, yes, the global car company, uses this exact method to solve multi-million-dollar problems.
It's called the 5 Whys Technique.
And today, I'll show you how to use it in your business,
your team, or even your life in Nigeria.

It's a simple method:
When a problem happens, you ask "Why?" five times to find the real root cause, not just the surface issue.
Because most problems are like onions:
They have layers.
And if you don't peel them, they'll make you cry later 🧅

Why Use It?
It helps you fix the real issue, not the symptoms
It encourages critical thinking
It's free, fast, and works in ANY industry
It makes you sound smart in meetings.

Let me give you an Example in FMCG:
Sales dropped 20% last month.

Let's 5-Why it:
Why did sales drop?
-
→Distributors didn't order enough stock.
Why didn't they order?
→ They had unsold inventory from last month.
Why was inventory unsold?
→Retailers weren't buying.
Why weren't retailers buying?
→ The product expired before it sold out.
Why did it expire?
→ Too much stock was pushed without checking actual demand.

Root cause: Over-pushing stock without real demand data.
Solution: Train reps to forecast based on local demand, not just targets.

I will give you another example in Real Estate:
Problem:Construction project delayed by 6 weeks.
Why was it delayed?

→Workers were absent.
Why were they absent?
→Payment was late.
Why was payment late?
→Client didn't release funds.
Why didn't the client release funds?
→ They were not informed about a cost overrun.
Why was there a cost overrun?
→ Contractor didn't update the budget after cement price increased.

Root cause: Poor communication + lack of budget tracking.
Solution: Weekly project updates and real-time budget reviews.

The next time your sales are down, your team is slow, or your budget disappears like suya on Friday night...

Don't just ask “what happened?", Ask "WHY”, FIVE TIMES.
Your business will thank you.

Try it now, and let me know your comments, and tag someone who needs this in their office group chat.

If you benefited from this post, share it, you might save someone's salary and their sanity.
