A Gambian Ex-muslim pastor who was persecuted by the Músl!ms and pure acid on him, just because he debunk 1sl@m and embraced Christianity: I bear this scar and pain for Jesus. This is the mark that I left darknesinto light.
Although, after many surgeries, the medical complications are still theret I will never go back from following Jesus.
Being from devouted Muslim background, my father was the head of the Islamic society in our community in Gambia.
I have read the whole Qur'an several times, and I have read Hadiths. A man was consistent in trying to preach to me, but I used to give him attention just to engage him in argument.
He is a very patient man, he was never tired. At some point, I began to compare the Bible and the Quran. I also compared the words of Prophet Muhammad with those of Jesus.
I just find the growing dissatisfaction with everything I have known, read, and taught from the Quran. I read the Bible until I was convinced that Jesus is truly the Saviour.
I went to the church to surrender my life to Jesus on one Easter Sunday. Thereafter, I preached to my father and mother, and my siblings, and they all surrendered their lives to Jesus.
I was in a church sharing my salvation experience, and after I had preached and about 300 people gave their lives to Christ, as I was coming out of the church, some people shouted, Pastor we need your help.
Unknown to me, they were angry Muslims who were bittɛred because of a growing number of people who are leaving Islam in my community in Gambia because of my testimony.
As I looked back, one of them poured a bucket of acid on my face, as I turned to the other side, another one poured another bucket of acid and they were shouting: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar".
My eyes were affected but not totally blinded. I am joyfully bearing the scars and the pain. That is the price I have to pay for following Jesus.
Brethren stood by me, they prayed for me, they took care of me. There is love in Jesus.
Please 🙏 pray that the Lord will heal my pains completely. Pray for my faith not to shake.
Although, they are still threatening me, there is no going back from following Jesus.
