Research and technology commercialization play an essential role in the evolution of Nigeria's burgeoning fashion industry. By converting research and innovations into viable market solutions, the industry is opening doors to growth, innovation, and impactful transformations. This is exemplified in the partnership between the University of Ibadan and Zucchini Fashion Center, which focuses on delivering locally-driven solutions to the unique challenges faced by the fashion sector.

This partnership emphasizes strategic collaboration with lecturers and students to tackle pressing issues within the Nigerian fashion ecosystem, particularly among tailors, seamstresses, and designers. The goal is to harness research efforts to develop tailored solutions that address specific challenges and refine business practices. As part of this initiative, recent graduates from the University of Ibadan's Industrial and Production Engineering Department conducted research projects focused on system optimization, ergonomics, and safety in the fashion industry. Their work will soon be showcased across our various platforms, highlighting their contribution to industry advancement.
