and IITA TV, through the Communication Office of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), hosted journalists from across Nigeria representing print, radio, TV, and online media, for a hybrid Media Training on Crop Improvement Using Modern Tools as part of the global campaign “𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘞𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘯.”

Phase 1, held face-to-face on September 22, 2025, focused on Genebank, Genetic Resources, and Biosciences, with engaging sessions led by IITA scientists.

The training continues virtually with sessions on Gene Editing, Food Safety, Nutrition, and Climate Change, deepening media understanding of modern agricultural research and innovations.

Together, we’re empowering the media to tell stories that make science accessible, accurate, and impactful!
