Faith doesn’t come in sizes like suit jackets

Let’s not confuse faith with virtue. Faith is there. Faith is just faith. Virtue is developed. Faith doesn’t come as does learning the piano grade by grade. People talk about “big believers,” as if believing came in sizes like suit jackets. We can have faith even when we know we are not very good. Nonbelievers can have faith; otherwise they could never be brought to the realization that Jesus Christ is Lord. Faith is not what we SAY, Faith is what we DO. Doers of the Word of God are the true believers. Got it? God bless you

Report from the ongoing JAMB policy meeting indicates that
JAMB has introduced the Central Admission Processing
System (CAPS) which is geared towards ensuring quality
control, transparency and credibility of the admission
process.
According to a participant, the new policy is expected to
make provision for a ‘market place’ in the JAMB portal
where institutions can go and ‘request for students in
Nigeria who score their cut off points.’
These institutions will write to JAMB to request for the
students and also give them (students) three days to
respond. Also, only three universities can request for a
candidate if the policy is adopted.
The new policy is also expected to allow institutions in
Nigeria peg their cut off point after meeting with their
respective senates.
The new policy will also give the academic board or senate
of an institution the power to ‘allocate percentages to JAMB,
the school and O’level results as these will be calculated to
get the students’ cut off marks for post-UTME.’
It was also learnt that JAMB wants to ensure there is a
unified time for closing admission in all universities.
If the policy sails through, there will be a portal for admission
which will be based on cut off points, quota system and
catchment areas.
“The new system is such that institutions can only admit
those who meet their cut off points,” an admission officer for
a tertiary institution who was at the meeting said. “If a
candidate does not meet the cut off, no matter whom he or
she knows, such person cannot be admitted.”
The official said the system was demonstrated to all the
attendees at Monday’s meeting, most of whom expressed
satisfaction with it.
Also, the policy intends to make provisions for candidates to
accept and reject any admission being offered to them.
The intended policy also looks out for candidates who are
unable to go for National Youth Service, NYSC, because they
do not have JAMB admission letters. This set of students
could be asked to pay a fee, about N10,000 for regularisation
and would be able to go for the youth service.
JAMB is expected to formally brief journalists on these new
policies on Tuesday afternoon.“`

YOUTHS, DON'T BE A CURSE BUT A GOOD INVESTMENT FOR YOUR PARENTS

Our parents spend a lot of money to send us to school - home and abroad. They do so because they want the best for us. But unfortunately, we go and return home with some distorted beliefs they just can't comprehend. And some of us - especially the boys - go and return home with Miango pepper red eyes, because of course we became pharmacists without having to study pharmacy - talk about talent, huh? Now our old peeps are confused - "did we do wrong by spending so much to ensure they had the best?" And it's unfair because these same parents will be left with the responsibility of "purifying" and mending us when we return home with repulsive beliefs and attitudes. They're left to struggle to fix our terrible character. And for the pharmacists, they'll have to frequently drop in and out of mental institutions like it's some holy sanctuary - all additional work they never bargained for.

Young people, just caaalm down! Try and resist the peer pressure and make your parents proud. Never forget who you are. Never trade off your identity for cheap and superficial popularity. Work on being a better person everyday and be a good investment for your parents. Most of them aren't spending so much on you so you can pay back a dime. Seeing you become an independent individual standing on your own two feet and being a good role model to society are all the return on investment they ask. Don't repay their kindness with suffering because your life will end up brimming with misery, especially when they're gone.

Shout out to all good and responsible parents out there. May God keep you to reap the fruits of your labour.

PERFECTION ATTAINED

Perfection is a standard that none of us could ever hope to attain. Yet we learn from Hebrews that Jesus, through His one supreme sacrifice for sins, "has perfected forever those who are being sanctified." Hebrews 10:14

The one-time sacrifice of Christ on the cross - the sinless One dying for the sinful - perfected us forever in the eyes of God. Jesus' once-for-all payment for our sins was indeed sufficient. Matthew 5:45

All in Christ are perfect by the grace of God and even you in Jesus Name. John 14:12

Enjoy your day!

THEY ARE SETTLED AT OUR EXPENSE!

Saraki's son graduated from London, school of economics. (Education here in Nigeria is not up to standard thanks to them)

Buhari's son just finished his masters abroad. (That is, even the son of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is not proud of his father)

LAUTECH has been under lock and keys for more than 10 months and nothing is being done about it. (Why not? Isn't it for the vulnerable)

Their sons will take up jobs in CBN while you struggle for Npower jobs. (Definitely, the CBN jobs are for the landlords in Nigeria and Npower jobs, for the tenants therein)

Therefore, if you're still fighting people because of politicians. Your 'mumu' can't be cured.

The 'friends of the masses' have not profited the masses so far... It is time for the masses to help themselves. May God bless the weaker animals and save them from Hyenas and Jalkas.

Lemme come and be going...

If you pay a graduate with B.sc N100,000 monthly just to count money on the counter in a bank and pay an OND holder N50,000 to do the same job the graduate is doing. As a manager of the bank, wont you sack the B.sc holder and retain the OND holder to save money for the company since both of them are adding the same value to the firm? If your answer is YES, then have you seen why they sack some bankers.
If a machine of 1 million naira can do a job that 30 people will do while you pay a total sum of 1.5million naira to those 30 people when you need just 5 people to operate the machine you bought 1 million naira will you not sack the 30 people and employ the 5 people who can operate the machine to save cost of production and increase profit? If your answer is YES, You must have seen why most organizations are reducing their workforce. Remember that the machine wont go for sick leave, maternity leave, and you wont pay machine for pension. Machine wont come to work late, Machine wont go on strike. All the machine needs is constant servicing.
LESSON: if you dont add value and increase in productivity to the firm you are working for in this century, you are at the risk of loosing your job. Improve your skills . Learn more skills. If possible learn how to operate these machines or how to build them or how to repair them. That is the future of jobs. Dont lay your eggs in one basket

For 2000 years God has been with us, located - even local. He
does not sit in a nameless somewhere. He is not a diffused
force conjured up with mantras, generated by meditation or
concentrated by a pyramid-shape tent. He is here, geographical,
news-reported! His set purpose is to bring us healing within,
ease the conscience of guilt, and put our hand confidently in the
hand of God. He counts no effort too great. His very veins were
opened in His passion to save us, "tasting death for every man".
Jesus is not religion, or theology, or doctrine. He is Him! The
living Savior; the only Savior of humankind. God bless you.

Strength for the New Year 2017
Where does the bee get the honey from? Surely not from
garbage dumps or even piles of dung. There is no honey! A bee
gets the honey from the pure nectar of a flower. That’s the
source of honey. And where does a Christian get his strength
from? Not from public opinion, philosophy or political
correctness. There is only one source; it is the WORD OF GOD,
the BIBLE. A New Year resolution? Begin to read God’s Word.
When you open the Bible, God opens His mouth. He speaks to
you. Strength flows to you from this heavenly source. I pray for
you, my dear Face Book “congregation”. You are very special to
me. Your comments thrill my heart. I promise to write to you
every day in the New Year, as the Lord enables me. Enjoy a
blessed and victorious 2017 in the name of Jesus.
