FROM RECOGNITION TO RESPONSIBILITY: 11th MAYA AWARDS AFRICA set to hold on 11th of June, 2026.

Maya Awards Africa has officially announced June 11, 2026, as the set date for the 11th edition of the prestigious award, scheduled to take place in Abuja, Nigeria.

This edition branded as ‘The Launchpad Edition’, marks a significant milestone in the platform’s journey since its establishment in 2013 as a youth-focused initiative, dedicated to recognizing and amplifying excellence and credible leadership among African youths.

The Maya Awards Africa project is a culturally relevant launchpad designed to spotlight the next generation of African leaders across culture, innovation, enterprise, and social impact. This edition will honour outstanding individuals under the age of 40 whose leadership, influence, and vision are shaping the future of West Africa.

From leadership and governance to entrepreneurship, innovation, culture, social impact, and human development, the 11th edition of the awards will spotlight individuals whose work is shaping the present and future of the region.

Hosting the 11th Edition in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, reinforces the institutional direction of the awards and provides a fitting backdrop for a high-quality, intimate physical ceremony that brings together young leaders, policymakers, creatives, entrepreneurs, and change-makers from across West Africa.

The event promises to be an exciting and meaningful convergence of young leaders across diverse sectors of the economy, offering not just celebration but connection, reflection, and inspiration. Award recipients will be revealed exclusively at an intimate, high-quality physical awards ceremony, bringing together cultural stakeholders, industry leaders, and youth changemakers from across the region.

Maya Awards Africa has, over the past decade, celebrated and honoured over 300 highflying people and brands across Africa, serving true purposes of inspiring excellence.
