Standing tall above Ibadan’s brown roofs, Bowers Tower is one of the city’s oldest landmarks.

Built in 1936 in honor of Captain Robert Lister Bowers, a former Resident of the old Ibadan Province, the 60-foot tower sits on Oke Aare Hill, offering one of the best panoramic views of the city. From up here, you can see the endless stretch of Ibadan, a reminder of its history, growth, and cultural depth.

The oldest lighthouse in Lagos 🇳🇬

It has stood along the Atlantic coastline for over a century, guiding ships safely into Lagos Harbour. Built during the colonial era, it remains one of the city’s oldest maritime structures and a quiet reminder of Lagos’ long relationship with the sea.

Long before the skyscrapers and new skyline, this lighthouse was already here — watching the tides come and go.

Is this the tallest building in Lagos? 🇳🇬

From Marina to Eko Atlantic, Lagos keeps rising higher every year.
But the real question is… which building truly holds the crown?

Someone told me to show them my city at night… because apparently “we don’t have light here.”

So here’s Victoria Island, Civic Centre, Surulere, and CMS glowing after dark. Lagos at night is a whole different energy — skyline views, bright lights, traffic flowing, real city movement.

Lagos is not one story. It depends on where you’re standing.

This is Lagos at night.

This is the grave site and compound of Chief Saka Abass in Badagry, Lagos.
He was once enslaved, but later became a slave trader and owned the Brazilian Barracoon.

Seeing this place in person reminds you how complex and painful this history is.
Badagry holds stories that are hard to hear, but important to remember.

What do you think about stories like this being preserved?

Yesterday, I flew over what might be the most beautiful building in Lagos. 🇳🇬
Wait till you see the helipad at the top, the view is unreal.

Do you know where this building is located in Lagos?

This is Badagry, Lagos 🇳🇬

I visited the slave dungeon, the slave museums, and took a boat ride to the Point of No Return.
I also spent time at the Badagry Slave Beach, the Badagry Lagos Museum, and the Badagry Roundabout.

Each place shared a different part of the same story.
Being there helps you understand the history beyond what you read or hear.

Badagry isn’t just a travel destination — it’s a place every Nigerian should experience at least once.

This is the first storey building in Nigeria, located in Badagry, Lagos.
It was built in 1845, and it still stands today as part of our history.

Seeing it in real life reminds you that Nigeria’s story didn’t just start yesterday.

Some places carry time, memory, and meaning.
