A Few Days Ago, I Had The Privilege Of Being Warmly Received In The Office Of Honourable Olakunle Akinsete, The Special Adviser, Housing And Urban Development To The Governor Of Ọ̀yọ́ State.
What Started As A Meeting Quickly Became A Meaningful Conversation—One That Affirmed To Me That Leadership Is Not Just About Office, But About Heart. I Shared The Vision Of YAÁGBÓYAÁJÙ!, Our Upcoming Yorùbá Challenge/Game Show That Celebrates Language, Culture, Wit, And Intellect. He Listened—Not With Formality, But With Genuine Interest.
To My Joy And Deep Appreciation, Hon. Akinsete Not Only Aligned With The Positive Potentiality Of This Idea, But Also Offered His support! This, Of Course, Is Not Out Of Obligation, But From A Deep Place Of Belief In Cultural Innovation And Youth-led Creativity.
But Let Me Tell You Something About This Moment. This Moment Carried More Meaning Than Most Would Know…
Years Ago, We Were Both Radio Presenters At 32 FM, Ibadan. Then, Hon. Akinsete (Comedian Shete) Was Known For His Infectious Humour, And He Often Introduced Himself With A Phrase That Always Made Listeners Smile:
“The Comedian Wey Tall... Who Dey Laugh For There?”
He Would Say It With Full Awareness Of The Irony—After All, He’s Not That A Very Tall Man, Literally 😊 But Looking At Him Now, Standing Tall Among Decision-makers, Influencing Policies, And Shaping Communities, One Can Only Marvel:
He Didn’t Know He Was Prophesying. That “Tallness” Was A Spiritual Declaration. Today, He Stands Tall In Impact, In Relevance, In Leadership.
Thank You, Sir, For Seeing The Light In This Dream And Choosing To Fan Its Flames. Your Belief In YAÁGBÓYAÁJÙ! Has Added Not Just Momentum, But Meaning.

We Must Never Withhold Gratitude From Those Who Genuinely Wish Us Well.
May Your Rising Never Plateau. May Your Laughter Always Echo At The Heights You’ve Climbed. 🙏🏾
Àṣẹ Ni T’Èdùmàrè!
