2: Family Series:The staff of authority! Deliverance 1
Sovereignty of God’s Grace Ministry Int
Exodus 3:8 KJV
And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
Moses received a staff of authority when he had an encounter with God, which also represents the staff of deliverance. What is deliverance? Deliverance is defined as “a rescue from bo***ge or danger.” Deliverance in the Bible is the acts of God whereby He rescues His people from danger. In the Old Testament, deliverance is focused primarily on God’s removal of those who are in the midst of trouble or danger.
After the death of Joseph in Egypt, there
arose a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. They saw how the children of Israelites multiplied and grew exceedingly, and the Egyptians were so intimidated and decided to afflict them with their burdens.
Exodus 1:13-14 And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: And they made their lives bitter with hard bo***ge, in mortar, and brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigor.
When the affliction became so unbearable, they cried out to God, and He sent Moses with a staff of authority to deliver them from their affliction.
Exodus 3:7 And the LORD said I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
Brethren, there is hardly anybody in this world who has not been subjected to one affliction or the other. Immediately, you are born into this world, into your family with great destiny, the enemy will set out to stop you by afflicting you with all kinds of troubles, hardships, and tribulations. However, while the enemy satan thinks he is subjecting you to all kinds of afflictions, God turns the afflictions to groom you to become a strong person with a resilient spirit.
James 1:2-4:
"Consider it a joyful thing, my brothers, that you're facing trials. For when you're tested, it will show your faith is strong and that you're persevering, and when perseverance has had its full effect, then you will be perfect and complete, ready to face any difficulty."
In the process of time, when the afflictions become unbearable, and you cry out to God, He will hear and deliver you the same way He did for the children of Israelites. Psalm 34:19: "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."
What to do to receive your deliverance: Cry out to God to save you, recognize your errors, and ask God for mercy. Have a contrite and repentant spirit. Finally, trust in God and have faith that only God can deliver and set you free.
This is for somebody reading this now. You have allowed your afflictions to separate you from God. In fact, you blame God for all your afflictions and have allowed your mind to become reprobate, that is a mind that is given over to sinful desires and ungodly behavior, rejecting God's guidance and living a life devoid of remorse or conviction of sin. I'm led to tell you to repent and cry out to God for mercy as He is the only one who can set you free. Otherwise, you will have yourself to blame eventually.
Remember this scripture: The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness – Romans 1:18
Hear what the Lord is saying to you today: 2 Peter 2:9: "The Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the ungodly for the day of judgment to be punished."
Psalm 34:17:
"The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles."
Psalm 107:6:
"Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress."
I decree and declare that God will deliver you from all your troubles and set you free in Jesus name.
Prayer Points: Pray and apply Psalm 18 by faith.
Do have an uplifting day through the blood of Jesus.
God bless you, beloved.
