The Humanity of a Leader: Soludo’s Grassroots Market Tour on July 17th, 2025

In a time when many leaders lead from a distance, Governor Soludo is showing us that true leadership is about connection — human connection.

Yesterday, July 17th, 2025, Governor Soludo personally visited four local markets in Aguluzuigbo, Ichida, Obeledu, and neighboring communities. But this was more than just a tour — it was a heartfelt reaffirmation of his administration’s deep commitment to grassroots development under the APGA-led government.

There’s nothing as powerful as a leader who steps out of the office and into the lives of the people he serves — seeing what they see, hearing what they feel, and responding with action. Soludo’s visit was not for show; it was a demonstration of empathy, accessibility, and sincere leadership.

His presence brought smiles, hope, and reassurance to market women, traders, and local youths — showing them that their voices matter, their needs are seen, and their struggles are not ignored.
This is what leadership should look like.�This is the kind of leadership we all needs.

I honestly believe other leaders can learn from this — to step down from the podiums and walk among the people. To lead with heart, not just headlines. Because at the end of the day, the real strength of leadership is found in the ability to connect, to feel, and to serve with empathy.

Anambra Beltway Completes With The Fourth Dual Carriageway As ANSEC Mourns Muhammadu Buhari.

The 14th Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) Meeting, which took place at the Light House, Awka, on July 14, 2025, made several important decisions; among them are:

ANSEC Mourns Former President Muhammadu Buhari.

ANSEC joined the nation in mourning the passing of former head of state and president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who passed away in a London hospital days ago, and observed a minute's silence.

Fourth Dual Carriageway Completes Anambra Beltway.

The Council also awarded a fourth dual carriageway, namely, the Ekwulobia to Nnobi Dualisation Road Project, to complete the linking of the four major Anambra cities by dual carriageways, thus completing the Anambra beltway to permit easy flow of traffic around the state.

Ease of Doing Business Growing.

ANSEC has reviewed and approved the progress report for the 2024 Business Enabling Reforms Action Plan (BERAP). As part of the State Action on Business Enabling Reform (SABER) Programme, the state commits each year to implementing reforms aimed at enhancing the ease of doing business. The progress of these reforms is continuously monitored to ensure sustainability and assess their impact on businesses in Anambra State. The initiatives have resulted in improvements in land administration, infrastructure investment, business processes, investment promotion and protection, tax administration, and access to justice through small claims courts, among other areas.

Ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) Exercise.

The ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) was reviewed, and the hitches and solutions were noted. Public servants who have proof are to be allowed by their supervisors to be part of the CVR exercise.

Projects:

The following projects were approved and awarded:

1. Construction & Dualisation of Ekwulobia to Nnobi Road (32.6 km); awarded to Geld Construction Ltd in the sum of ₦28,854,778,204.92.

2. Supply & Installation of Mechanical Appurtenances at College of Nursing Sciences; awarded to Crystal Dove Construction Company Ltd in the sum of N110,653,459.38.

3. Construction of Metallic View-Point Barricade at the Light House, Awka; awarded to Muterbonch & Company Nig Ltd in the sum of N488,431,355.92.

4. Payment for Geophysical Survey/Mapping Charges: Release of N95,824,355.00 to Calyzid Ventures for 2,018.319 hectares of land.

5. Construction of Outstanding Road Segments in Okpoko Area; awarded to IDC Construction Ltd in the sum of N2,028,140,956.25.

6. Procurement, Installation, and Deployment of Digital Multi-Band Jammers; awarded to Intertrek Solutions and Services in the sum of N96,860,800.00.
