Oyo police command denies reports claiming abducted pupils and teachers have been rescued

The Oyo State Police command has denied media reports alleging that the pupils and teachers abducted from Ahoro Esiele and Yawota Communities in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State have been released by their abductors.

The command in a statement released, unequivocally stated that the claim is false, misleading, and entirely unsubstantiated. The command’s spokesperson, Olayinka Ayanlade, said as of this morning, there has been no such development, and members of the public are advised to disregard the report in its entirety.

The command reassured the people of Oyo state and the families of the victims that intensive and coordinated rescue operations remain ongoing. He mentioned that security operatives are working tirelessly, deploying all available human and operational resources to ensure the safe rescue of the abducted pupils and teachers, their unharmed reunification with their families, and the apprehension and prosecution of all those responsible for the heinous act.

NOTORIOUS POLICE OFFICER SENTENCED TO DEATH BY HANGING FOR BEATING AN INMATE TO DEATH AT AKWA IBOM STATE.

Today 25th May 2026, Hon. Justice Nsemeke Daniel sentenced Sgt Goodnews Akpan to death by hanging for the torture and Murder of a suspect under investigation for a bailable offence while serving in Anti-kidnapping Squad Uyo on the 19th day of November, 2023.

Sgt Goodnews Akpan was trained by the Late Notorious Police CSP Ekene Nwosu who incarcerated hundreds of Akwa Ibomites that couldn't afford to come up with huge amount of money to bribe him and yet, Nigeria Police Force did absolutely nothing about it uponme flying to Abuja back and forth and petitioning him at Police Force Headquarter, Police Service Commission, Nigeria Senate and at
the National Assembly when Akwa Ibom State Government and the then Commissioner of Police carefully refused to stop him since he had support of top politicians in the State.

Police Brutality and Torture is a crime against Humanity / Mankin and this is exactly what I wanted to do to that Police Kriminal called Ekene Nwosu until the Heediiot died mysteriously while standing trial with me in court upon losing all the cases in court that I facilitated against him in support of his surviving victims.

Ibarapakan Congratulates Olu of Igbo-Ora on Seventh Coronation Anniversary

Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. Dr. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has extended warm congratulations to the Olu of Igbo-Ora, HRM Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye Asoroolu V, on the seventh anniversary of his reign as the apex traditional ruler of Igbo-Ora.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Hon. Adepoju described the Olu of Igbo-Ora as a father figure whose reign as the supreme monarch of Igbo-Ora has been characterised by peaceful coexistence, development and unity.

The federal lawmaker also extended his congratulations to the Igbo-Ora Traditional Council for their leadership and collaboration, which he said have resulted in the building of a cohesive community over the last seven years of the reign of the Olu of Igbo-Ora.

According to him, development can only take place in a society where there is peace and unity. He appreciated the Igbo-Ora Traditional Council for their synergy with governments at all levels, which he described as unparalleled and necessary for the growth of any developing community.

He, however, congratulated the entire sons and daughters of Igbo-Ora for their support for the monarch over the last seven years. He urged every member of the community to see themselves as one and also submit to the authority of the revered monarch for the growth, peace and stability of Igbo-Ora community.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character also wished the monarch long life and sound health to continue to give meaning to the stool of the Olu of Igbo-Ora.
