A VOICE IN THE SHADOWS: OVER A DECADE OF SILENT SACRIFICE AND UNWAVERING LOYALTY.
For more than ten years, my journey in politics has been fueled by a deep desire to serve others. Through various challenges, I have steadfastly adhered to the principles of progressivism, firmly believing that real change starts from the grassroots level.
As the saying goes, "In politics, nothing happens by chance." Every step I’ve taken—from running for office to my involvement in community initiatives—has been part of a deliberate effort to make a difference in people’s lives and foster trust.
I have twice sought the role of Executive Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government. Although I was unable to secure the party's nomination on both occasions, I did not withdraw. Instead, I maintained my engagement with the community through ongoing empowerment initiatives, infrastructure support, and contributions that have added tangible value to the local areas. My dedication to the APC has remained steadfast—not out of obligation, but from heartfelt conviction.
This journey has imparted valuable lessons in discipline, resilience, and, importantly, humility. I have learned to stay grounded even when I am not in the limelight and to keep building connections, even when recognition seems slow in coming. Politics has not only bolstered my confidence; it has also introduced me to leaders, supporters, and constituents who have reinforced my belief that serving the people is the greatest honor.
Despite facing difficulties, I have never allowed resentment or discouragement to creep in. Each setback has only strengthened my sense of responsibility and deepened my dedication. I have always held that true leadership starts with being a good follower, and I have faithfully fulfilled that role. As the saying goes, one who serves diligently in the background deserves trust when in the spotlight.
I am genuinely thankful to our esteemed party, the APC, and to our respected leaders throughout Ijebu North and Ogun State. Your commitment to youth engagement and grassroots development inspires hope in individuals like myself. I remain ready and willing to serve in any role that may arise, with the aim of advancing development and progressive governance.
My name remains Arákùnrin Joseph Adémolá Ośofódùnrin (ALLOWED). With God's grace and our leaders' ongoing support, I eagerly anticipate the rewards that are sure to follow years of hard work. May our shared vision for a thriving Ogun State continue to flourish.
