THE FARMER AND THE BAMBOO

A farmer planted a bamboo seed and watered it every day.

One year passed—nothing appeared. Two years passed—still nothing.

Three years, four years, and even five years passed without a single shoot breaking through the soil.

Many people laughed at him and said he was wasting his time.
But the farmer kept watering and believing.

Then, in the fifth year, a tiny green shoot emerged. Within a few weeks, the bamboo grew over 80 feet tall.

The bamboo had not been doing nothing for five years—it had been growing a strong root system underground, preparing for the height it was destined to reach.

Lesson: Not all growth is visible.
