Mission Impossible: Shop burglar meets his creator after getting stuck while on duty in Ghana
Residents in Fadama area of Ghana, were treated to a g@ry scene of a burglar who passed away while on a sting operation.
According to a video shared on social media, the incident happened in the early hours of Monday morning, December 19. From the video, the man also referred to as ‘container-hijacker’ in local parlance, can be seen hanging on the burglary proof of a shop and it’s evident he d as he was about to exit the shop after looting it.
However, it is unclear as at the time of this report, if he d as a result of el£ctroc¥tion. It is reported that his c@rpse has been deposited at the morgue.

My administration has created over 13million jobs in agric sector — Pres. Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari says Nigeria’s agricultural revolution has created more than 13 million direct and indirect jobs in the past seven and a half years.

The president disclosed this on Friday, December 16, in Washington D.C, USA.

“This same scheme has financed the establishment and operations of our 50 integrated rice mills.

It has also financed over 4.5 million smallholder farmers, ensured the cultivation of almost 6 million hectares of farmland and almost 700 large-scale agricultural projects have been funded.

This Agricultural revolution has led to the creation of over 13m direct and indirect jobs.

The non-oil sector remains the future of our economy.

You will agree with me that the Russia-Ukraine w@r has compelled many economies to carry out reforms and re-adjust policies to cope with the challenges posed by the conflict,” he said.

End fuel scarcity in seven days — Reps order NNPC, others.

The House of Representatives has ordered the NNPC Limited and other regulatory agencies to end the lingering fuel scarcity in one week to ease the s¥ffering of Nigerians.

The legislators passed the resolution during a plenary session on December 13, following the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance, sponsored by Saidu Abdullahi from Niger state. Presenting the motion, he said in the last few months, Nigerians had been subjected to untold hardships caused by the lingering petrol scarcity, affecting economic activities and making the already trying times in the country more difficult.

According to him, “Intelligence reports on current fuel scarcity gathered by our security agencies indicated that there is a deliberate plan by some oil marketers to derail the effort of the government in the distribution of fuel in the country by hoarding the petroleum products, thereby creating artificial scarcity all over the country.

Skitmakers, bloggers, others must get approval for all digital adverts — ARCON.

The Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has mandated skit makers, social media influencers, bloggers, among others to seek its approval before advertising any product or service online.

In a statement issued on Monday, December 12, the Director General, Dr Olalekan Fadolapo, said this is in line with the provisions of the Nigerian Code of Advertising Practice and the ARCON Act No. 23 of 2022. “ARCON has received complaints on the advertisement, advertising, and marketing communications activities of skit makers, comedians, influencers, content creators/producers, bloggers, vloggers etc on digital media platforms.

Most of the advertisements exposed by this group are not only unethical with unverified claims and misinformation, but also in violation of the Nigerian Code of Advertising Practice. By this public notice, brand owners, digital agencies, secondary digital media space owners.
