Welcome to NOVEMBER 💃💃💃💃💃 my favourite month of the year 🕺🏼 The month we officially tied the knot and joyfully welcomed our first fruit🙌 .
Indeed God has been so merciful to us🙏

Yesterday was the first time we experienced a power outage in our home since relocating. Come and see me running up and down! 🤦🏼‍♀️ That's when I realized almost 80% of our basic appliances are powered by electricity 🥹—including my cooking hob. And to think I didn’t even have a torchlight or a candle... plus, my phone battery was very low! 😩

I called the electricity company, and they said they were hoping to restore power by 2am! And it was just 10pm! 😩 My only consolation was that I had already finished making my jollof rice before the lights went out. Otherwise, it would have pained me well ooo, because I can’t imagine drinking cold or ice water tea in this weather! 😅

Meanwhile, my toddler was having the time of their life, running around in the dark and enjoying the whole atmosphere! 😂

Another year to be Grateful to Him who has kept me, sustained me, my rock in ages past and the lifter of my head. When I look back and see where he took me from, where i am now and where He is taking me to all I can say is indeed MUNACHIMSO COS HE HAS NEVER LET ME WALK ALONE. Now I understand the reason my parents gave me that name 🙌

One mindset I had to quickly shift when I moved to the UK was thinking that everyone who asked a pregnant woman about her due date or the gender of her baby had some kind of hidden agenda. Funny, right? 🤣

I moved in my third trimester, and 8 out of 10 people would ask me the same three questions:

When's your due date?
Are you having a boy or a girl?
Are you planning a C-section or a natural birth?
At first, I thought, 'Why are they asking me these personal questions?' 🤦🏼‍♀️

But after asking around, I learned these are just harmless, friendly questions here. I had to keep an open mind, cos where I come from that question is very suspicious 🤨 no be wetin them Dey ask person 😩

What do they say about variety again? 🤔 Oh yes, it’s the spice of life! 😍 Well, since relocating, we’ve taken that to heart! 😍 With both of us juggling opposite work schedules and parenting, every moment together is like pure gold. ✨
This country has a way of teaching you to be intentional about building family bonds, or you might slowly drift apart without realizing it.

So, here’s us making the most of it—romantic dinner date... with our toddler 😂

October is one of my favorite months—not just because it’s my birth month, but also because it marks the time we took one of our family’s biggest risks: JAPA! 😂💃 Yes, relocating (especially as a pregnant woman in her third trimester) was a major risk. 😩😩 To this day, I still wonder where we got the morale! 🤣
It’s been a journey full of adventures. 🚶🏽‍♂️🚶🏽‍♂️�✅ Were there days we cried? 😭 Absolutely. But you wipe your tears and keep moving.�✅ Were there days we questioned if this was the right decision? 🤷‍♀️ Definitely. But every risk seems foolish to some.�✅ Were there days filled with uncertainty? 🤦🏼‍♀️ Of course. But we trust everything will gradually fall into place.
It’s been a beautiful journey so far, and God has been so faithful, surrounding us with good people.
To my fellow japarians, this journey isn’t for the faint-hearted, but one thing we’ve held onto is this:
“IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER !” 🌟

I’ve always been a lover of yam, I could literally eat it three times a day, seven days a week! 😂 But ever since we relocated, my love for it has faded. 😩 Can someone tell me why African shops will sell this yam for £4.20 (that’s 9k in naira!)? 🥹

And honestly, it’s not even the price that gets me... it’s the size😩😩They look like rejected sacrifices! 😩
Does this size of yam even cost that much in Nigeria?
