Comr. Tarkaa Matthew Terfa
APOLOGIZED TO IGEDE PEOPLE

He Wrote: "I am writing to offer my deepest, most heartfelt apology for fâlsely accusing your community of hârming my brothers. Recently, I mistakenly believed that your people were responsible for their disappearance and presumed dëath.

Thankfully, my brothers have returned alive, and I am overwhelmed with relief and gratitude. However, I realize that my earlier accusations may have caused harm, offense, and distress to your community.

I sincerely apologize for:

1. Fálsely implicating your community in härm against my family.
2. Spreading mîsinformation and perpetuating harmful stereotypes.
3. Causing unnecessary fear, tènsion, and mistrust.

Please accept my genuine remorse. I understand the gravity of my mistake and commit to:

1. Correcting my earlier statements.
2. Promoting unity and understanding.
3. Fostering peaceful coexistence.

Your community's integrity and dignity are invaluable. I should have sought truth and verification before making äccusations.

Once again, I offer my profound apologies and appreciation for your understanding."

Cultural Heritage is an expression of the ways of living developed by a community and passed on from generation to generation, including customs, practices, places, objects, artistic expressions and values. Cultural Heritage is often expressed as either Intangible or Tangible Cultural Heritage (ICOMOS, 2002).

As part of human activity Cultural Heritage produces tangible representations of the value systems, beliefs, traditions and lifestyles. As an essential part of culture as a whole, Cultural Heritage, contains these visible and tangible traces form antiquity to the recent past.

Cultural Heritage is a wide concept. We prefer to concentrate on the similarities between the various heritage sectors, instead of on their differences

IGEDE HAVE 4 DIALECTS:
Namely :

1) Igede centre dialect comprises of (Iyeche ,Oboru ,Owo,ukpa ,
Ibilla ,Ainu ,Itekpa ,Idelle and Oju ).
Note ; Iyeche used here comprises of Ada ,ocheche and ugbodu .

2) Uwokwu dialect.

3) Ito dialect and

4) Igabu dialect...

For example, the Igede centre Popularly known as Igede ariri says "tu wari " as in come .
While in Igabu dialect says "tiri wari ".

Ito says 'tu wari/kewe...

The Igede centre normally says
" gwuo'gang " meaning inject him or her. While
Ito dialect says "gwuo'je " .

Uwokwu dialect says "am awe tung jwu koo " while we from Igede centre says that "am awe dunu jwu koo . meaning I'm not the one pushing you guys against each other .

Ito says"Echori " .
Igede centre says "Echwoji "

Igabu calls cup as ogbagala while
Igede centre calls it as ukokwu.

Igede centre says Orechi .
while Ito calls her Oreshi .

Ito says "chari "
while Igede Igede centre says "chaji " meaning because.

Let me stop here ...

As You can see, the differences between Igede centre and uwokwu dialect are not much that's why i don't have much words from them.
In all ,that makes Igede to be unique...
