Our highways recently I been plagued with incredible accidents claiming the lives of some many people without the government trying to find out why it has been so. The designated road safety commission who are supposed to be looking into the road menance is serving little or no use to this effect being driven by the Nigeria syndrome. Countless trucks and tanker drivers under the influence of Alcohol and drugs have claimed the lives of innocent citizens by their reckless driving. Some of these trucks and tankers are not maintained by their owners who only wants to make money without putting their trucks in shape. The Nigeria government and the various commissions sadled with this responsibility should do their work and save the people from untimely death and terrible road traffic it usually pose.

The prevailing systematic cleansing in some parts of Nigeria has come the climax with the authorities doing less than expected by the people. This young dynamic Nigerian could have been saved from his early grave if there is a enough on ground to protect the lives of common citizens of Nigeria. We call the federal , state and local government to do more to protect the lives of the common people. This is not the work of the federal government alone. Where is the state and local government authorities? How well is the local vigilantes empowered to protect their communities. The state and local government should be able to own their security apparatus enough to handle such evil.

*RESIDENTS OF ASABA, OGWASHI-UKU, UBULUKU BREATHS A SIGH OF RELIEF AS OPERATIVES OF CP-SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT TEAM ENGAGES SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS, FOUR SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS KILLED IN THE GUN DUEL, RECOVERED THREE AK-47 RIFLES*

_The syndictate were responsible for the kidnap of a medical doctor and also responsible for the kidnap and murder of Esther Ojoh._

Following the kidnap of a doctor at Issele-uku on the 6th April 2025 and his release on the 7th of April 2025 after collecting a ransom of fifteen million naira ( #15,000,000) from the medical doctor and the driver. The commissioner of Police Delta State CP Olufemi Abaniwonda directed operatives of CP-SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT TEAM to embark on an intelligence-led investigation and ensure that the kidnappers are arrested and brought to justice. In complaince with the said directive, the commander CP Special assignment team, ASP Julius Robinson led his team in a sting operation at about 2200hours of 10/04/2025 trailed and arrested one Abubakar Usman Popularly known as "Shehu" the suspect is the gang leader of a deadly kidnapping syndicate and responsible for series of kidnap at Ogwashi-uku, Ibusa, Ubuluku and environs and also responsible for the kidnap of the medical doctor and collected a ransom of #15,000,000. They were also responsible for the kidnap of the wife and daughter of Mr Godwin Anuka after killing him at Ogwashi-uku area as well. He also confessed to being responsible for the kidnap of a realtor Esther Ojoh at Ibusa whose co**se was later found on the 25th March 2025.

Acting on his confession at about 1100hours of 11th April 2025, the suspect led operatives to their hideout, a forest along Asaba/Agbor express road between Okpanam and Issele-Asagba where on the process of searching the Area, suspect raised an alarm and fled to join his waiting gang members. The gang members engaged the team in a fierce gun duel during which four of the suspects including the said Usman Abubakar sustained serious gun shot injuries. Three AK-47 rifles, Ninety (90) rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition were recovered. The injured suspect were taken to general hospital Ogwashi-uku where they were all confirmed dead.

The commissioner of Police CP Olufemi Abaniwonda commended the gallantry of operatives of CP-SAT noting that their braveness is worth emulating and urged other officers to emulate them. He also thanked all the concerned people of Delta State for trusting the Police with useful, credible and timely information and solicited for more support assuring them that the command under his leadership will not disappoint.

The prevailing insecurity state in Nigeria should be more blamed on the past government who had invited the Fulanis from all over the world without making adequate provision and preparation to settle them in the land. Only for most of them to resort in violently taking over people's land and thinking they can occupy anywhere they like. While the Nigeria borders where throw open for them the government had failed in every way to provide procedures and guidelines towards their resettlement. The same was perceived in many quaters to leaverage government machineries to highjack, invade and unleashed terror upon the citizens through coloured actions as banditry, terrorism and farmers and herdsmen clashes in order take over their lands and properties. Why has the same government not been able to stop them if actually they indeed wanted . It is a prove of systematic action to achieve their ego centric agenda. What could be said about a government that demonstrated more nepotism and disregarded the rule of law to favour a minority whose ancestry route is well known to all. While the present government continues their diplomacy and pretending not to understand what is going on the citizens are left to struggle with fate as they have no means and way to defend and protect themselves. If the Fulanis are our brothers then, we should gladly welcome them with prepared plan on how to resettle them in the land but, to invite them without adequate preparation and plan is tantamount to insensitivity and lack of foresight.
