Does Local Government have the right to acquired people's land forcefully and erected shops? NO!!!.

The Genesis of the game began when the Ex Commissioner of Water Resources & Water lied that the leftover land beside Hausa Central Mosque Darocha Street, Agege is hide out of "Boko Haram" in order to claimed it for the extension of mosque which the Seriki Hausa of Agege Kingdom debunked and serious investigation carriedout by the Highest Authority of the land and found out that the land belongs to different families and not part of the mosque and NEVER "Boko Haram" hide out.

Ever since that, the Agege Local Government waged into the matter , held series of meeting with so called of Baba Oja of Darocha with market women & men without carried along the original owner of the leftover and along.

However, the families concerned came together and presented the case to their lawyer rather than take the laws into their hands.

Without any iota of doubts, the lawyer sent letters to the office of the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Committee on Local Government and Community Matters and Lagos State Task Force to mentioned few.

With immediate effect, the Committee on Local Government and Community Matters invited the families concerned namely, Sanni Majaro-Balogun Family, Mr. Denies Okorie, Alh. Tawa Akingbade family, Popoola/Akinsanya/Fabowale families ,Afusatu Amope family, Alh. Sanni Uma Sule, Alh. Ibrahim Yakubu Family and Alh. Yalwa Musa family under the Chairman of the Committee Hon. Subair aka 'Omititi' ( May his soul rest in perfect peace. Aamin) which they committee asked Agege Local Government represantives IF they have ever organised any meeting with original owner of the land as the Agege Local Government Representatives claimed. And answer was NO. While the committee informed the 2 parties that will like to come and investigate, which they did, but , yet to hear from them ,which may be as of two reasons (i), demise of the Hon. Omititi and (ii) disolution of every. Committee as a result of new members) all these occured in year 2022

Paradoxically,
as the families concerned awaiting the outcome of the Committee, the Agege Local Government and one Mr Isiaka Adekunld Awe known as Baba Tosin of Tosin Nigeria Enterprises of No.7.Adenle Street. Off Marikaz Rd. Agege was making a move to start construction on people land.

For the second time, our lawyer filed court case against Agege Local Government Lagos High Court Ikeja with Suit No.ID/13702LMW/2023

However, despite the fact that Agege Local Government received it copy on 07/06/ 2023 still went ahead with her Developer Tosin Nigeria Enterprises to demolished market women & men kiosk with more than 1,000s "area boys" OPC and Police and begins construction on 8th of July 2023

And for the third time, rather than to confront them, the families concerned quickly, wrote a pertioned to Office of the Assistant Commisdioner of Police, Force CID Headquarter Alagbon , Office of the Lagos Task Force on Land Grabber, Office of Governor through Chief of Staff, Lagos Task Force, Lagos State Commissioner of Police etc.

As aresult of this, the General Public are Warned and to confirm the Case No from Lagos High Court. Ikeja and that whoever purchased shop(s) from tham does that at its own Peril.
