Get ready, Africa! The African Union (AU) and AFRIMA have confirmed that the 9th All Africa Music Awards will now take place January 7–11, 2026, in Lagos, Nigeria.

Originally slated for November 2025, the new dates follow broad consultations with partners, artistes, and stakeholders to ensure a bigger, better, and more inclusive experience for all.

The week-long celebration will feature:

* Africa Music Business Summit (AMBS)
* Music Icons Night
* Host City Tour
* AFRIMA Music Village & Industry Party
