Look at the causes of kidney disease and how to clean your kidney. Our kidneys should be hydrated properly to perform their functions well. Drink more than 10 glasses of water daily. There is an easy way to check if you are drinking enough water, look at the colour of your urine; the lighter the colour, the better.

GACON@25: Nigerians Advise To Focus On Mechanised Farming– Adaku Chidume-Okoro

Nigerians have been advised to focus On Mechanised Farming and round-year cropping through irrigation to help address Hunger And lingering Food crises in the country.

HRM Adaku Chidume-Okoro, Group Managing Director, Gum Arabic Company Nigeria Ltd. (GACON) has commended the Federal Government’s role in sustaining and promoting the non-oil sector through tax exceptions and expansion grants.

Mrs. Chidume-Okoro said this in an interactive section with Journalists during the commemoration of the company’s 25th anniversary in Lagos.

The Nigerian First female non-oil Exporter, Adaku Chidume-Okoro advised while addressing the food crisis, the Economic Expert Calls for Renewed Focus on Agriculture

She said the reason for the current food crisis is that Nigerians produce less than they eat, while many youths are distracted with Internet fraud and not interested in Agriculture to replace the aging workforce.

She said that the government over the years had deliberately made provisions for certain incentives like tax exemptions and giving expansion grants to non-oil exporters.

She said this was highly commendable as she also called on the government to ensure the support was upscaled in the coming years.

“To Create More Jobs and improve the Nation’s Economy, She advised more people to explore the non-oil Sector where the Government is currently providing some incentives

“The government knows that it is the non-oil export industry that can sustain the economy. This is the reason for supporting the industry.

“The government has gone out of its way to support non-oil exporters by giving incentives to encourage us so that we can ship more.

“All our export proceeds are tax exempt, also there is a government expansion grant whereby the government pays us a certain percentage of our annual turnover as incentives to encourage us to invest more in the sector, the more we export, the more the balance of trade,” she said.

She said the main challenge confronting non-oil exporters had to do with bad roads, which usually result in delayed supply of goods at appropriate places.

Chidume-Okoro emphasized the need for continued government support to enhance the growth and resilience of the non-oil sector.

She advised intending exporters to remain focused, consistent and unshaken in the face of challenges if they must record remarkable success as non-oil exporters.

The Foremost Nigerian Female non-Oil Player for Over twenty five years said Nigeria is blessed with Natural resources like Ginger, Arabic Gum , Hibiscus Flowers and many others required in Other Countries.

Chidume-Okoro said that GACON specialises in the export of various agricultural commodities, herbs and Gum , Hibiscus Flowers and many others required in Other Countries.

In 2010, Mrs Chidume-Okoro botanicals including fresh ginger and dried split ginger, dried split turmeric, dried hibiscus flower, gum arabic of all grades, hot chili pepper, cassia tora seeds, dried kola nuts and prosopis juliflora.
