I am very pleased to announce that I have been added to the selection committee of the 2025 edition of Kitale Film Week , Kenya’s rapidly growing 8-day film festival alongside Beninese-French entrepreneur, Pierrick Chabi, founder and CEO of Wakatoon and Tosh Gitonga, celebrated Kenyan filmmaker and founder of Primary Pictures.

We will be joining the festival competition manager Wangui Ngunjiri, Festival Director Peter Bwire , Ugandan film Curator,Joel Tugaineyo, Tunga Media Afrika founder Makandi Mbae

I believe every filmmaker dreams of having their work seen, discussed, and appreciated. Regional festivals like Kitale Film Week are essential for spotlighting and celebrating the compelling films being created across Africa.

Kitale Film Week has officially opened its submission portal, and is, for the the first time accepting submissions from filmmakers across Africa.

Submissions close on November 15th, 2024.
If your film reflects "diverse, socially engaged, and bold storytelling that speaks to both local and global audiences" ,you can submit via https://lnkd.in/dkbDHn-u.

Kitale Film Week is supported by the County government of Trans Nzoia, the Kenya Film Commission, Docubox EADFF, and the embassies of France and the Netherlands in Kenya.

Looking forward to the amazing films that will be showcased!😍
