I, Hon~Engr Rasaq Aliyu-Apaguntan sincerely appreciates on this note regarding my appointment as (S.A to the Governor on "YOUTH" Kwara South) and want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the Creator and Ruler of the universe who has granted HIS Almighty disposal to our proposal and granted me this huge opportunity under the greatest party in Africa, I also appreciate my able Governor Mallam Abdurahman Abdurazaq (The Executive Governor Of Our Dear State Of Harmony) for giving me this great opportunity to serve under his administration as " Special Assistant On Youth, Kwara State". To All Progressives Congress (APC) in the entire Kwara State and Ifelodun LG precisely, words alone can't express my feelings right now.

Emir of Ilorin warns against illicit video shooting at Ilorin Central Mosque

The Emir of Ilorin and President/Custodian of the Ilorin Central Jumaat Mosque, His Royal Highness, Alhaji(Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari,CFR, has warned that no form of unauthorised pre-wedding video shooting and photographic expedition for whatever purpose would henceforth be allowed in the edifice.

The Emir stated this on Tuesday(August 9,2022) in his reaction to an amorous pre-wedding video shots recorded at the Mosque, which has since gone viral as he disclaimed the allegation of granting approval to people access into the Main Hall of the Mosque, warning those dropping his name to stop such action forthwith.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari,in a statement signed by the Chairman, Central Working Committee of the Mosque and Danmadami of Ilorin, Alhaji Shehu Abdulgafar,OON,said that he viewed the video under review with utmost disappointment.

He appreciated the concerns and comments generated by the video since it went viral,adding that everything worth doing would be done to ensure that a repeat of the incident does not occur.

The Emir,who is also the Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Emirs and Obas, added that the Mosque,particularly the ultramodern edifice, does not exist for such a practice from anyone or group no matter how highly placed as he said that it was important for all Ilorin patriots and their friends to judiciously use the Mosque for the purpose of worship and community development.

The Emir,therefore, charged the Central Working Committee of the Mosque and staff of the edifice to ensure that no one is allowed to shoot any video or take amorous photograph at the Mosque.

The Monarch warned that the violation of this directive would be visited with appropriate sanctions so as to discourage such illicit practice,which exposes the Mosque and Ilorin Emirate at large to ridicule.

Attahiru salutes Governor Abdulrahman, Kwara United management on picking continental ticket

Alhaji Attahiru Ibrahim who is the SA Sports to the Kwara State Governor has saluted his Principal over huge investment made which helped Kwara United secure a continental ticket.

Kwarans home and abroad are currently celebrating the achievement of Kwara United picking a continental ticket at the recently concluded NPFL season as they will feature in the Confederations Cup later this year.

Ibrahim while reacting to the great achievement also commended the management of Kwara United, coaching crew and players for exhibiting true professionalism which yielded a fruitful result.

"I will first commend my principal for his huge and continuous investment in Sports and I'm equally congratulating him for the success Kwara United just recorded.

"Governor Abdulrahman has always been demonstrating that he is a Sports loving Personality and that is why Kwara United have succeeded under him.

"The management, coaching crew and players have also done well in the pursuit to get continental ticket and congratulations to all of us involved in this struggle for success." Alhaji Attahiru Ibrahim explained.

Since Alhaji Attahiru was appointed as the SA Sports by Governor Abdulrahman, people in Sports have been enjoying massive and significant impact most especially him touching lives.

Attahiru in his love for Kwara United and ways of motivating the players also always present cash gift ranging from 200K after each game.

Meanwhile, the last time Kwara United played continental football was in the year 2011 and this latest development is a plus for the administration of Governor Abdulrahman.
