Last week, I made a small mistake… one of those tiny things you think doesn’t matter.

I was tired, overwhelmed, and frustrated, and when my partner asked a simple question—“Have you eaten?”—I snapped.
Not because of the question, but because I had been carrying stress alone for too long.
I slammed the door, raised my voice, and said, “Can’t you just leave me alone?”

It looked small.
It sounded small.
But it wasn’t.

Later that night, they told me, “This is how it started between my parents. Little dismissals… little cracks.”
And I felt that punch in my chest.

That single moment reminded me: most divorces don’t explode out of nowhere. They drip, little by little—
A harsh word today…
A cold shoulder tomorrow…
A silent resentment the next day…

Not because people want to hurt each other, but because they forget to check in, to breathe, to speak gently, to ask for help before everything piles up.

I apologized. They apologized too.
We talked.
We reset.

The lesson?
It’s not the big fights that end relationships—it's the small neglects, the unspoken hurts, the tiny moments where love is present but not practiced.
Catch the little things early, before they become big things you can’t fix.

Have you ever seen a relationship fall apart because of small, ignored issues? What happened—or what did you learn? 💬
