What are our options?

Alvarez? He is too expensive and would cost over 100m. Atleti would prefer selling him to EPL clubs, and signing him would mean no Bastoni. On top of that, he is not even a proper number 9.

Vlahovic? A player who struggles to stand out even in a slower Serie A.

Nunez? He flopped at Liverpool and cannot even secure a starting spot at Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

Asllani? He is unproven, and has only 8 league goals in the Bundesliga this season. He may have potential, but he is a big risk and definitely not someone you rely on to compete in the Champions League next season. Maybe as a backup if both Lewy and Ferran leave.

Kane can still give you at least two world class seasons, maybe even three. He is the best number 9 in the world right now, and by summer 2028 we might be able to go for Haaland. But if we sign Alvarez now, there is no chance Barcelona move for Haaland in 2028.
