Gunmen Invade Bishop Oyedepo’s Church In Kogi, Abduct Members

It was learnt the kidnappers invaded the church during the weekend, shooting indiscriminately to scare people away before successfully whisking their victims away.

Three members of the Living Faith Church Worldwide founded by Bishop David Oyedepo have been kidnapped at Osara community in the Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The assailants reportedly invaded the church while some members were holding a meeting.

The chairman of the local government area, Joseph Omuya Salami, confirmed the abduction of three members of the church to journalists, through his special adviser on media and publicity, Habeeb Jamiu.

De Sam Mbakwe was the governor of Old Imo State. He assumed the leadership of Imo State 9 years after the end of the civil war, when Imo state and the whole of Igboland was in dare need of infrastructural development.

Dede Sam performed excellently.
The roads and drainages built by Dede Sam in Aba town are still standing till date! 35 years after he left office!

Look at Enyimba Hotel! Still standing in her magnificent elegance even after 35 years of neglect and being vandalized.

In 1980, disaster stuck! Nediegoro flood!
The huge “Gutter” along school road was built by the Government of De Sam to drain the flood water from Ndiegoro to Aba River. The huge gutter was built to address the issues and last for generations!

38 years after building the gutter it is still functional! It was built and commissioned within 2 years!
What did De Sam do right?
While the Governors today are more concerned about winning re-elections and installing their successors, De Sam had his eyes on leaving behind enduring legacies!
Enduring Legacies he left behind.

De Sam appointed professionals as commissioners and assigned them portfolios at their areas of competence. De Sam used Reputable construction companies. De Sam never used ghost political companies.

The Imo state commissioner for works under Dee Sam was a German Trained civil and structural Engineer. This enabled the government to deliver jobs within reasonable budget and also within schedule.

De Sam stood for all, he cried when there was need and bite when there was need. Many may not know that De Sam in 1979 took the Federal Government to court once he assumed powers to challenge the mischievous carving out of Obigbo from old Imo State into Rivers State by an equally Mischievous Olusegun Obasanjo!
